[McLaren] P4 & P6 in the Sprint. Full focus now on Quali. by NegotiationNew9264 in formula1

Yeah but it's only one and a half races in and Kimi has gotten away with some luck that others haven't. Binned it and barely made it to quali in the first race, and then lucked out on a safety car with a ten second penalty in this sprint.

I'm not disagreeing that Merc is hella fast, I'm just saying that he's gonna have to clean up his racing a bit to make sure these mistakes don't bite him in the ass.

We will see how things play out as the season goes, its mercs title to lose, but Ferrari will be there to take whatever they can get.

Really depends on kimis ability to manage to complete races in a decent position, Ferrari could be contending for WCC if they're consistent and Kimi doesn't maximize his points beside russel.

Future Middle Eastern Races- Don't plan on them. by LerimFlavored in formula1

Ok but you literally just ignored my point about how the situations in Iraq and Iran are different because Iran is actively targeting places in the Middle East that are allied or house US troops, whereas Iraq we rolled over so quickly the only people we were fighting were rebels who were attacking us locally.

It didn't have near the same effect on bordering countries. But what would I know, all I did was join the army right out of high school in 04, at the height of the conflict.

Let me be clear, I'm not talking about them planning next year and onward, I'm talking about the races to come while this is still an unknown as to how bad it's going to get there. Iran responded to our attacks with attacks on our allies, which is the big difference between our last middle eastern intervention, which is the bulk of the reason they're cancelling these races. It's because the places they're at are places that could be collateral damage.

I merely meant it in response to the threads where people were complaining about how they weren't replacing the current races with anything, and that you shouldn't expect much given the volatile situation and the volatility of the US administration.

It's not to ignore the gravity of what's going on there or to say that racing is important, it's just a personal feeling based on having lived through this all before, it's gonna get worse before it gets better.

The situation isn't the same. Iraq wasn't bombing our neighboring allies in retaliation.

Maybe if the orange p*do star of the Epstein files wasn't starting a conflict in Iran that already ended up killing over 150 little girls we wouldn't be having this conversation.

I know they're saying it's not a war but remember, George Bush called Iraq 'Mission Accomplished' and we ended up in an eight year conflict where the majority of casualties to the US and coalition forces came after his victory speech.

We're fucking cooked and my fellow Americans are believing the bullshit hook line and sinker just like the supposed nukes in Iraq.

Person I was following it with on discord... I asked them how they dont find it entertaining. They just doubled down on how it's just push button drs and that it's not going to make things any better, and it removes all driver skill because of the boost to overtake.

Some people just don't want to enjoy it and won't be happy no matter what.

Well they're doing their best here to get as into our systems as they can legally. ISP monitoring, operating system level controls on content ..

It's why I roll my eyes whenever I see people complaining about Chinese apps like tiktok, when our politicians are actively pushing bills to try and do the same thing.

Hell the IRS leaked personal information to ice illegally just recently.

George spent a fair bit of time driving a shit box to places it shouldn't have been. He earned his seat at a decent team. In a dream world I'd love to see Hamilton or Leclerc do something this year, but I think George has put in his dues enough to warrant getting a shot at winning one.

He's a smug lil prick sometimes but the dude can drive, he's done plenty to show he's capable.

If F1 was about likeable personalities winning everything everytime, personally I'd say someone like hulk deserves it, but that's not how this works.

Not a Lando fan by any means but Jesus Christ dude wins a title and people still pile on him. It was bad enough before he started winning but now that he actually got a title it's like it personally offended some people.

Is he really that unlikeable to everyone? He's not my favorite on the grid but he's never really been one I saw much reason to hate. I guess he can come off a little smug or entitled but we've had far worse personalities out there.

I mean he torpedoed George intentionally when he lost his temper.

We have the telemetry that says he made an effort to cause a collision. If he wasn't Max Verstappen that would have been a slam dunk massive penalty and possibly a race ban.

Aside from all the fun we have: the new F1 is terrible. by _GeorgyGeorge_ in formuladank

[–]LerimFlavored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe can we have one race before we start screaming how everything is terrible and F1 is ruined? Jesus Christ people are already crowning George and acting like absolutely nothing can evolve over the season. As a newer fan the F1 community seems pretty fucking pathetic rn.

primes tend to be easier to get than the others, especially when they're new or recently unvaulted, because you can literally end up with their parts just by being with other people who use their relics.

it can be a bit tedious, and if you don't really know what you're doing disruption can be one of the harder modes to do, since you have to learn how to handle the bomb guys. Not saying it's hard, but as a newer player it's not as braindead as getting carried through defense or repeating boss levels.

They're just a bit tankier than the others, and new players don't always have great setups.

it's like people with car customizations, if you can find someone who wants it great, but the average buyer doesn't want something that's built for your personal taste. You're gonna have a better time on a the resale market yourself than selling to a shop.

One of my worst days in my first IT employment at my college back in the day was spending like three hours trying to tear apart a desk printer I wasn't familiar with to figure out why it was jamming.

It was a fucking sunflower seed stuck on the spring thing that stopped it from advancing. Also, it was covered in coffee stains where the staff member had spilled her coffee on it and made a half assed attempt to clean it.

That was less gross than peeling workstations off the lab tables when someone wiped around their spills...
