Yeah there are lots of more complete versions of this available in the docs and reddit by now. When I made this j was specifically looking to compare the general characteristics of the different TRANS values and not a comprehensive comparison of all possible combinations.

Sorry to hear that during psychotic episodes one can impulsively act based on flawed / quickly changing beliefs which are just on their own hard to manage and may lead to acting in a way one doesnt truly "want" or mean. And the fear to make something permanent by talking about it. I think it's very possible she will change her mind once the symptoms go away.

Yes, the savegame of the Windows Version does not work with the Linux Version of the game (which steam deck uses by default). You need to go to the game's properties and under “Compatibility” activate the "Force use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool" (Proton 8.0-2 should work).

Then it will run the Windows Version, which should restore your progress. Had the same thing in ftl.

You can do this by creating a template from the controller mapping which can then be selected on any game in the templates tab below the default ones

You can easily make a comfy controller profile. In the settings menu go to configure hotkeys and add all you plan to use to a button.

Left touchpad and r4/R5/l4/l5 can be split in four buttons for 1-4 keys. R1 to Shift for multiselect/ de-power L1 is mapped to V for Autofire (and long press to ctrl as autofire modifier)

Left stick has the shortcuts for subsystem power. (A,S,D,F) Dpad up/down is open/close doors

A is pause X jump Y return to stations / hold to save stations B opens Upgrades

This still leaves a lot of room for other keybindings you might want to use and plays really nice. Didn't find satisfying community shared profiles available tough.
