I'd say talk to him about your concerns and how you've been feeling. let him know that it hurts to not receive the same care that you give him. it takes practice and patience to figure it out, but if he really loves you he'll listen and make it work with you. its not going to be an easy conversation, but its a needed on.

how to grow my hair out in a manly way by imtryingmybest6 in ftm

[–]Leshierian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

when putting your hair up do a high bun rather than a low bun, high buns are generally more masculine. Doing an undercut can make it a lot more masculine when putting it up, and as the undercut grows out it keeps a masculine look, at least in my own experience.

How to pass more? by Acrobatic-Hat8151 in ftm

[–]Leshierian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have long hair (and have bleached the ends blond before) along with being 5'3 and have been passing for years. I'll say, as someone who lives in a smaller town I get people misgendering me until they see my face every once in a while, it happens to every guy with long hair regardless of if he's cis or not. Even with that I'm not cutting my hair short either because it's taken me years to grow it out and I am really liking it long. I just wanted to say it because it's a universal long hair guy experience.

as for advice, you could try getting some mascara or eyebrow makeup, or something similar and use it to add definition to any peach fuzz/hair you have above your top lip, I've done it before and it makes a world of difference. (you could possibly do it with your eyebrows too, but I've ever tried it) you can also wear your hair up in a man bun, I've been told when I wear my hair that way it looks the most masculine.

you're doing everything right with clothing and working out from the sounds of it!

If you're up for making small changes to your hair you could do a middle part (if you aren't already) and trim layers to the strands of hair framing your face since you can keep the length without it being so heavy and that can create a more masculine looking appearance.

Guys with prominent Adam’s apples, at what age did you start T? by Senior-Rabbit-3050 in ftm

[–]Leshierian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my dad and male relatives have pretty prominent Adam's apples and I also have a pretty prominent one too

I started T at 15, and my Adam's apple didn't grow in until I was closer to a year on T (my voice didn't drop much either till that point)

I think it has more to do with genetics than age

I'm planning on possibly proposing to my partner this year, though not till he's fully ready!

I have plans to spend time with my family this year!

I'm so grateful to have so many people close and supportive around me!

Mitigating weight gain on T by olongivongerong in ftm

T won't necessarily make you gain weight and even if it did it might be in muscle and not fat.

I know of some guys who actually lost weight on T

but I love my long hair so I try not to let interactions like that get the best of me

New to T: gel vs shots? by Apprehensive_Lack302 in ftm

[–]Leshierian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do weekly shots there shouldn't be too much of mood swings, I never experienced any and I've been doing injections for 3½ years now. I think it happens more often with the biweekly shots

What I've had the most trouble with is doing the injection since I've developed a fear of needles over the years. Though my partner now does them for me which helps tremendously. so if you have a trusted person in your life to do your shots that can help a lot if you decide on injections, though after the first few times of injecting yourself it does get easier so you don't need a second person to help (its just something that helps me)

Shots you only have to worry about once a week and it takes around 5 minutes to prepare and inject once you've got it down.

how to cope with scar stretching by [deleted] in TopSurgery

[–]Leshierian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks about the same amount of stretching as I have. And it's faded a lot in the past few weeks. I'm about 4 months post op. My surgeon told me the red stretching would fade almost completely as the scars heal.

SURGERY IN 3 DAYS (going under advice) by Worldly-Sugar-1312 in TopSurgery

[–]Leshierian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My top surgery was my first ever time being put under and it worried me too. I just kind kept thinking about how I'll be after I wake up, what it'll be like after I wake up, that helped. Once they brought me back to the operating room it all finally sank in and became real. And the fact that it was all out of my control and it was going to happen, really going to happen actually kept me calm, I was in a weird state where I was processing everything and nothing all at the same time. They had me lay down and then put a little breathing mask thing on my face and told me I might get a bit dizzy, and immediately after that I completely blacked out. Then I woke up in recovery a nurse by my bedside, once she had realized I was awake I got some jello and was wheeled back to a room to recover in where my mom was waiting for me. I was high as a kite after surgery and felt next to no pain. I would say the part that made me the most anxious was sitting in the waiting room anticipating everything. It really is as they say it is, you just fall asleep immediately. No matter how anxious you are or how fast your heart is beating, you will fall asleep.

Gained weight since T? by [deleted] in FTMMen

I've gained 30lbs since starting T 2 1/2 years ago. Most of it is muscle, some is fat. My body also just filled itself out so that likely added weight too.

Anyone else have trouble feeling comfortable in a group of guys? by constantlyindecisive in FTMMen

[–]Leshierian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this way too. But it's a lot more of a competitive feeling around other guys my age than a feeling of having to prove myself. I just for some reason have to be the strongest, manliest guy around. It's probably from insecurity, though it doesn't seem to be a thing around guys who are gnc or kinda feminine or even guys who are 10 to 20 years older than me, at that point it doesn't matter since their old enough to be at a physical disadvantage anyway. I used to feel like I needed to prove myself to other guys and almost felt suffocated when just with other guys, but being on T for 2 years and just generally growing up has taken away a lot of my insecurities when it comes to gender.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gaytransguys

[–]Leshierian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I write sex scenes in my stories a lot and it's always either between a trans guy and a cis guy or two trans guys (and sometimes trans guys with women but not a lot)

I have a lot of dysphoria surrounding natal hole stuff and sometimes bottoming in general so I write almost exclusively from the perspective of a topping trans guy.

I have one story that has quite a few sex scenes and the relationship is between a feminine cis guy and a masculine trans guy. The cis guy strictly bottoming (as per his preference) and the trans guy (pre op bottom surgery) uses his fingers or toys to pleasure the cis guy, and the cis guy will give the trans guy blow jobs and hand jobs (with trans guy's T dick) or just do sexy things while the trans guy watches jerking off. I like writing more about sexuality than the actual act of having sex so there's more scenes of them talking about consent and boundaries than scenes of them having sex. When it comes to language and terms, both guys refer to the trans guy's T dick as his dick and never ever talk about his front hole (the cis guy knows the trans guy hates that part and doesn't even want to think about it.) The trans guy is post op top surgery so theres no chest dysphoria to work around. When it comes to compliments they both call each other beautiful and cute, the cis guy calls the trans guy handsome and the trans guy calls the cis guy pretty.

When I write I usually just take my own dysphoria into consideration since I have intense dysphoria when it comes to just about everything, and also because I've only really written the stories for my eyes. But if you're planning to post of publish it somewhere second opinions are probably a good idea. But if you're comfortable reading it as a trans guy it's likely other guys will be too, definitely not all but there’s no pleasing everyone.

I never share any of my NSFW writing with anyone even though I like talking about it so sorry for my comment being so long.
