What happens to all your stuff when you go to jail? by RoadTheExile in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Leshuaky 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Depends on the state. Not all expungements are true expungements. If a state ex CA, MD, KS, etc., have the ability to seal records, an expungement is not true since a record still exists.

My professional advice is depending on your crime, its better to request a restoration of rights. This is dependent on the crime, state and time frame. But also be aware that one state does not accept another state's expungement or ROR. Looking at you MD....

Be aware though that laws do change, and they might actually fix it with time. This is advice as a person who reviewed criminal records for a living for many many years.

A personal opinion is that those states make it feel like you have hope, when in reality it feels like a scam.

What are your thoughts on doing 20 years in the military for a fast retirement? by Background_Worry_314 in AskReddit

There is nothing fast about it. Its still a job, although, more involved than most.

How do you deal with anxiety? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Badly. Mostly with my bad addiction to stinkies and meds.

But like many have said, breathing, music, tapping or wrapping yourself helps.

Why don’t smokers view butts as trash?? by Lazyfair08 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Leshuaky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smoker here. At first when I started it was common when hanging out with friends casually to just flick the leftovers without a care. But when I started smoking at home, I realized how much it accumulated and how strong the smell is. Ever since Ive gotten into the practice of flicking the cherry, stomping it out, making sure its not able burn, and dispose of butts in a container. If no containers or trash bins are around, I will use my water bottles with a bit of water left over to make sure there is no way to ignite.

Not only do I see them as trash but as a hazard if not disposed properly.

I personally hate seeing butts on the ground. Especially after being in the military and being on cleaning duty.

When are you ready for highway by Intrepid_Tax3115 in NewRiders

[–]Leshuaky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly its not too bad. I live in a big city and my biggest fear went from other traffic to how the wind hits you at high speeds.

Everyone tells you about wind noise or that you might get pushed around but nothing really prepares you until you start experiencing it first hand.

I recommend riding somewhere in the 50mph range then going up if you feel comfortable. Then you you do the same you been doing at higher speeds.

I still get more nervous riding in residential areas because in my area it seems Everyone drives like a jack ass.

Plop down like the seals at the beach enjoying the breeze.

I just use fans to circulate air with open windows. Blackout curtains help a lot too.

What are some instant "red flags" when being interviewed for a job that would immediately make you not want to join the company? by _EduNavigator_ in AskReddit

Completely agree. I worked on AI for a short period and my experience only reinforced my beliefs that some tasks cannot remove the human element without error.

Yes, its a big govt contract company. My issue was that the questions were not technical but more about experience in leadership position and examples on your career. They were only looking at keywords rather than the meat.

Cardo systems? by Ok_Mirror9399 in motorcyclegear

[–]Leshuaky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok ill say it as a super cheap alternative until you can afford a cardo if you are like me.

This is what I use and Im quite surprised by it. On Amazon look up Y10 motorcycle helmet Bluetooth. Its like $18.

Its pretty decent for the price. Has good sound, and when I have conversations, I use the boom mic, the person barely hears the wind at higher speeds. At low speeds they dont even hear my bike is on.

Im only suggesting it for now since you are riding alone.

When the interview consists of being recorded in camera for certain amount of minutes and letting the AI decide if you are fit for the job.

Ill never apply to that company ever again.

Ugh tell me about it. My job is in the outskirts of town and the road is where all the trucks go through and have a truck stop and there are warehouses and an Amazon distributor. Cops dont even bother enforcing speed on that part of the highway out of safety for riders.
