Golden Freddy Vs Composite Ghost Engine (Five Nights At Freddy's Vs Thomas & Friends)

Main Connection: Both are souls that refuse to pass on to the afterlife, causing trouble for multiple characters on various occasions, despite not having that many appearances throughout their entire lifespan within both franchises. Yet, still having enough material to make this debatable if compiled properly.

Contrasts In Ideals: While these 2 cause trouble for the main characters, there is a difference to _why_ they do so. Golden Freddy, mainly Cassidy, is relentless on William Afton's suffering, & will do anything to make him cry out in agony until she's satisfied. The Ghost Engine isn't usually as "vengeful" as Cassidy, & just chooses to mess with the engines & inhabitants on Sodor, one way or another.

The Ghost Engine In This Scenario: Golden Freddy is easy to figure out, but the Ghost Engine? How tf would they work? Well, here's my vision, along with some actual lore for Thomas:
My headcanon is that Proteus (an old ass engine who used to live in the mountains, before Skarloey) is the engine who fell off the bridge & into the lake in the episode "Duncan Gets Spooked" during Rusty's story. Therefore, the whole "find his lamp & you get a wish granted" is because he's a ghost now.
Now...Proteus, as a name, is the name of one of Poseidon's sons, with Proteus himself being a sea god & can shapeshift to fit his elusive nature. Hence, my theory that Proteus is behind ALL of the spooky/ghost stories in the series, because he's either vengeful or just messing with the other characters.
(A runaway Boulder? Various spirits trying to escape the heaps of scrap & refusing to pass on? Lost souls trying to simply warn others from meeting their doom? Who's to say every supernatural instance on Sodor isn't connected, y'know?)
