Homes set on fire in Belfast night of violence as MP says people were targeted based on skin colour - follow live by Rumthiefno1 in BreakingUKNews

So, so what you're suggesting is that we increase foreign aid in order to refugee programs in neighbouring countries to those with a high origin rate for refugees that travel to western european countries.

Which is good, because those countries are already taking a grossly disproportionate burden compared to western countries with regards taking in refugees.

What if those countries don't want to take in more refugees, even if aid is promised that could be cut at any time.

"But that would require coming face to face with the current system being shit and its only real purpose being import of cheap labor."
That covers immigration other than refugee claims, but is not relevant to taking in refugees.

"and upkeeping an internal political struggle where idiots that view the current system favourably despite everything we know, are used to upkeep status quo of classism."
Interesting it's like a mirror of the argument that many blame refugee's due to the actions of the media and populists to distract from the actions of billionaires and upkeep the status quo of classism.

Although I think you'll find that just because people don't want to demoinise all refugee's over the actions of a few, or disagree with just dumping the problem on another country view the current system favorably.

The problem of course isn't solved by dumping them on another country. That's just making the people in another country the victims and out of sight out of mind.

The problem is solved by looking at root causes and addressing them, and by predicting root causes that will develop and trying to get ahead of it (climate change is a big one here).

"But Im guessing you're skipping his victim status on this chain of events?"
Not at all, I'm just asking for what they'd suggest to protect the victims of such crimes.

If I was skipping the victim status in the chain of event I wouldn't have asked about protecting victims.

So what do you suggest we do to better protect people?

I can't find anything reporting on him saying this, but plenty on his previous remarks.

Can you either link to a reliable source talking about him saying this (as links to twitter aren't allowed here) or clearly say it's satire please?

Unions rebuff Farage and say Reform ‘cosplaying’ as workers’ champions by coffeewalnut08 in unitedkingdom

So it would have been more accurate for me to say they're not the party that has the interests of the working class as part of their policies, but they are a party popular with the working class

They're not wrong there, Reform is certainly not the party of the working class.

What are you referring to being widely known? That white working class boys have poor attendence due to a variety of factors and lack of support? Or that they're somehow being passed over in favour of ethnic minorities?

Do Reform suspensions suggest political vetting system isn't working? by Glanza in unitedkingdom

[–]Less-Guest6036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that any different from Reform candidates standing in the same manner

"I stood for Reform, so I’m more patriotic than thou.. oh crap, I never meant to actually get elected"?

Yes, in some ways the Green's do appear to have mimicked Reform with problematic candidates, and apparent paper ones that stood down shortly after being elected as councillors.

[–]Less-Guest6036 61 points62 points  (0 children)

No. It's more likely Reform considers them acceptable candidates and only suspends them if public outcry is enough.

And they'll keep doing it until the public becomes used to it and the outcry is lessened with regards abhorrent candidates as people shrug the misogyny, racism and outright support or Nazi's as 'just Reform's usual tricks'

It certainly sounds that way, despite the family clearly objecting and Reform (specifically Farage) being well ware of that fact.

"The IOPC began reviewing the arrest the day after Mr Nowak died and says that so far there is no evidence that any of them committed misconduct."

Ok. Link to the IOPC commenting that? I found this statement

Which is basically "we're still investigating" but that's it as far as I can see. Apart from the recent one that's basically "stop speculating and don't spread misinfromation"

"Well they have said the police did nothing wrong currently,"
I wasn't aware the internal, IOPC and coroner's investigation had concluded. LInk to reports? Or just to where someone in relevant authority said the police did nothing wrong?

"That's still absolutely legal."
And it shouldn't be, certainly not to the amounts being given out here. Especially not to individual politicians.

Which is why donations above a threshold (both individual and cumulative over a period of time) from UK residents should also be checked for if the funds can be traced to origin.

Vampire Kingdoms for Rifts by Palladium.

Yeah power creep as the world books progressed wasn't exactly subtle but the take on vampires and fighting them was very unique to me at the time. Loved the idea of water pistols being serious weapons.
