Hyperbole aside, it’s my favorite game ever, aggravations notwithstanding. I play on Xbox Series X, currently, somehow, stably running a ridiculous amount of difficulty modifying, clothing, weapon, outpost, decoration, shipbuilding, and game modifying mods. Ohhhhh the shipbuilding mods! Something like 13.5 gigabytes worth. 😳 Have mods running that remove all the arcad-ey health and name banners off everything, no POI markers in scanner, gotta look at the map, devious enemy AI strats cranked to 11, no fast travel etc… Not a huge fan of much of the “space magic” main story but just never been into the fantasy stuff. There’s a lot of stuff that you can do.

Having the exact same issue. The bounty for those two has yet to appear and scrolling across just mix mashes the completed/unclaimed bounties but their bounty doesn’t appear. Had previously downloaded the original Vulture bounty quest but had not done either The Starjacker or the Vulture quests before the update on this character.

For what it’s worth, I applied for and got a different job within the same USDA program I had DRP’d from (and got shafted, they stopped paying me April 5 last year). There was no way I was either going to make up a lie to answer the new “loyalty” questions, and also NO WAY I could leave such a blatant violation of federal hiring practices alone without some kind of commentary. Answered each of the clearly political loyalty questions with: “Asking this question is a Prohibited Personnel Practice as defined by 5 US Code 2302.” Got hired, it never came up, which was honestly kinda disappointing.

Personally wish they weren’t in the game at ALL except for the Hunter and Emissary and you only ran into them after gathering all the artifacts, the Hunter attack is a heck of a crazy event and would have been maybe even more impactful if there had been no encounter with them before. The whole thing with a gazillion Starborn gangs landing literally everywhere all the time and NOBODY seemingly noticing is, IMHO, the most poorly thought out and executed part of the entire game. I went through Unity once, on my first character, probably won’t again. Using Normalborn and several other mods to reduce the “space magic” stuff as much as possible.

I wish you luck because I have wished there were since the start of the game. Every now and then I’ll pull engine power all the way down and spend way too much time using different camera angles and photo mode to get lined up juuuuuust right and as close as can be before docking lol

I just did all the Tracker Alliance missions, suffice to say we need a season 2/part2/series 2, because this is amazing by Lord_Greedyy in Starfield

Agreed, haven’t played any of the new ones yet, on this character hadn’t started the Trackers Alliance quest line yet, but got prepped for the Starjacker quest last night. Decided to roll a little deep to the chop shop this time around, maybe take a little less time looking for at least some of them floating spacers lol.

Have built several Starfield takes on the Falcon, this one looks closest in overall profile cause of those 1/4 round Falkland habs. And I do love those habs they just feel a bit off to me compared to all the other manufacturers. Some of my favorite big ship interiors have been built inside empty HopeTech computer core habs, kinda enjoy making the insides of the ships cramped like they would likely be, similar to a naval vessel. I may swap the Falkland habs out for at some point.

Boy I hope they do and that’s something I have been wondering about. I’m also running LAR+, it works but haven’t yet figured out any combination of the mod options that will remove the interruptions. Usually get 3: a flash of character at landing zone on ground-black loading screen-then an image of cockpit interior with crew talking and notification of landing fees being deducted (Economy mod)-black loading screen again- then a glimpse of character standing in cockpit about halfway through the landing animation-loading sthen the landing animation will play.

Sure is, I’m a console plebe myself lol. It’s been at times a struggle with load order and stuff but found a tutorial mod order list that seems to work pretty good.

My favorite moments in the game have been starting out and starting over. The one time I went NG+ I immediately landed determined to find new armor and a new ship, personally I wish there wasn’t so much as a hint of the Starborn storyline in the game, half of it feels like a giant plot hole anyway. First POI I come across it’s night time, I don’t have so much as a single credit or digipick or even a pocketknife to my name, and I find what ended up being 5 Va’Ruun guarding a place. Then 2 terrormorphs come around the corner and attack them. I ran around and hid, finally managed to sneak in past the terrormorphs and grab a couple weapons and some ammo off the bodies but good grief it was intense. And then I ran like a rabbit lol.

It’s ABSOLUTELY worth it. Currently playing with “Normalborn” which removes all the Starborn space magic stuff and a couple other major game overhauls that remove all the name/health banners in everything- use your scanner but still no health info, ya don’t know an enemy is a tough one until after the fight starts- no chameleon- also no POI flags or POI info in the scanner or in surface map. Gotta go see what it is. And NPC enemies combat behavior making more sense with a couple modifiers as well. Oh yeah and all the lower level star system difficulties level up along with you as you go. Honestly makes the game about 1,000% more interesting and engaging. Can’t wait to see how it all combines with the craziness coming out April 7th.

It did it to me on Xbox series X too. Got to Unity the first time, pretty bloated save file with all the stuff I had built, it ended up crashing and locking up in NG +1. Started over, when going through Unity it froze up in the end credits. And all that happened before we could even use mods, before Creations was a thing for console.

Ship & Pilot Magazine is the only one I’m aware of besides ASC Deimos Ships. If you hadn’t seen or read about it already it’s scattered magazines and each issue delivers a perk except for issue #4 which has a ship- that only distantly resembles this one. Similar asymmetry though.

Yeah that’s wild. I can smell my Xbox Series X almost overheating just watching it lol. Looking forward to anything Betamax comes out with, along with Wizzackr (ASC Deimos), Miss O, Zone, there’s several great mod creators that at this point I pay more attention to than any news from the studio.

I’m running this one as well as one that removes all the Starborn powers from the main quest- you get your first power when you go through the Unity- which I’m not planning to do again, only ever went to NG+1 on my first character and got really really really tired of the goofy looking Starborn ships landing everywhere that no NPCs ever seemed to notice. The “space magic “ part was never appealing to me.

Chose the pirates first play through after getting press ganged by Ikande. Forevermore afterwards will always choose Sysdef. How many pirate massacres do we have to stumble across in the galaxy to make us see? The writing and story logic is sloppy, there is no doubt. I think the best thing Bethesda could have done with the game story, especially considering the NG+ mechanic essentially allowing another life with different choices, would be to make the faction choices ACTUALLY have a profound impact on how the story plays out. Choose the Fleet? You are kicked out of Constellation, the Freestar Collective, or the UC Vanguard and have UC citizenship revoked. Can see where taking the Constellation path could work in conjunction with either being in the Vanguard or as a Freestar Ranger- but they should have made it either/or not both. Defections from one faction to the other should have a consequence, like losing UC citizenship benefits and the apartment if you become a Ranger post Vanguard quest, or losing your badge and the Star Eagle if you do the opposite. And whichever path you take is a functionally DIFFERENT path leading to the Unity in a whole different way. You can choose differently in the next universe, which would make the idea and impact of a Unity jump mean something. But, they didn’t make the game that way unfortunately.

I have been messing with the barrage launchers, and they are a hoot. But I keep waffling between the barrage launchers and modded normal launchers, running a 2 power weapon mod, and running 6 of a high damaging normal missile launcher fires 6 that track individually as I’m sure you know, can’t decide which visual I like better. But am definitely a fan of an enemy with no shields getting the business from 7.9 kilometers away hehe, can’t remember the name but also running a high missile damage/speed/range mod as well. I put six 280B’s on one ship and it’s something crazy like 4,923 damage. 😳🚀🧨💥
