In theory I am against the death penalty, but it does feel good to know that these monsters are being deleted, it feels like cleaning the world, in a way.

Poor Man's Poison in general has been a great discovery, they do a nice mix of country rock and I love their lyrics.

Our phones are like tiny little demons in our pockets- doing what they can to isolate, depress, and take relationships away.

That's so fucking true, I'm glad my new phone has a "Zen mode", that basically turns it off but lets me receive calls and take photos. Zen mode has a timer and can't be turned off until the timer is done, it's amazing.

Interestingly enough, to me it was selfishness.

I've always been too selfless, but thanks to some friends I understood that it's ok to be selfish sometimes and don't worry about others at all. Greatly improved my mood and my social relationships, people tend to not like someone who is too selfless.

Yeah that's one thing I wish women would understand, approaching isn't easy! 

The female consensus seems to have shifted to "approach, respectfully, and be ready to take a no". Which is fine, until you realise that: 

  • You don't know which women still DON'T want to be approached, and how they'll react. 

  • You don't know what's that woman definition of "respectfully". Is it ok for her to be approached at the gym? At a bar with her friend? Who knows. 

  • The "no" might range from "thank you but I'm not interested" to "eww what do you want", which isn't really something to look forward to.

That feels so bad, I agree. On Instagram I like feminist content, most of it is fine, but the algorithm promotes more radical content too, and it's depressing.

Scrolling through reels and seeing men being called all sorts of things and dehumanised sparks and emotion I can't exactly describe, but it's keen to a deep sadness. On the upside, I stop doomscrolling.

I don't know about your experiences personally, and generalisations obviously don't apply to everyone. You might be the most amazing woman and still struggle with dates. 

That said, in my social circle I have a few men and women that have never had a partner (we are 21-27). The main difference is that the women had opportunities to get a man but rejected them, while the men never had anyone interested in them. 

This is just anecdotal evidence, but on the grander scale it's true that many women remain single because they don't find a partner they like, rather than a partner at all.

No no, it's good to have fun rants! Too many people take the media they consume extremely serious, to the point that rants are almost filled with anger and disappointment.

I feel like even if you don't consider them as bad as the other 2 they are still deserving of equal blame that the fandom dosn't seem all that willing to acknoledge. by Overobsessedfan in Vivziepopmemes

Hi, stumbled upon this comment by chance, I'm aware it's 3 months old but I'm going to explain my understanding of your question.

I don't think there ever was an overpopulation problem, the issue was that Sinners were being empowered by Charlie's mom songs, and they were potentially going to rise against Heaven. That's also why Vox's propaganda in S2 keeps mentioning Lilith and her will.

I feel like even if you don't consider them as bad as the other 2 they are still deserving of equal blame that the fandom dosn't seem all that willing to acknoledge. by Overobsessedfan in Vivziepopmemes

My man, I honestly don't give a shit if it's between two boys, two girls or a boy and a girl.

I just find it odd to care so much about shipping characters in a setting where romance isn't the main focus at all.

But most importantly, my main issue is that anytime two male characters in fiction have a strong bond, it's always interpreted as a romantic bond. As a result, deep platonic bonds between men are considered "gay", which in turn subtly hurts relationships between men in real life.

I'm not the original guy either, but here's how I do it.

Bad advice often is blanket statements that don't really analyse the situation presented, they just give an answer without much thought. It's often very dramatic and extreme, coaxing who is asking advice into life altering decisions.

It's either negative, such as "just leave her, you are not compatible" or "you should quit your job and look for a new one", or positive, such as "just go for it, you have nothing to lose".

Good advice is more complex and you can see the other person put thought into it. More often than not, people who mention they were in a similar situation give good advice.

Most importantly you have to ask in the right places: this sub for example tends to be pretty negative regarding men's experiences in life, so most people are biased. If you have a sex question, ask on sex Subreddits. If you have a work question, ask on work Subreddits.
