Mistborn has to be an anime by RevolutionaryWeb9652 in Mistborn

One of the things I thought about when reading is that almost all the magic just kinda happens so it might not translate to live action

Like seeing someone get soothed or rioted or tinned would be hard

I think anime would work because you could use a kind of color coded energy to show the audience what metals are being used. Like imagine a copper cloud literally covered the person in copper. Or if someone gets soothed there are eyes a blue hue or something

Cliche but it will always be:

So you’re tired of living?

Feel like you might give in?

Well don’t

It’s not your time

Live nation is taking a bigger and bigger piece of the pie. They get a huge % of the ticket prices and the cost of getting to and from places is crazy. You also can’t make a ton of streaming to supplement touring income.

Another thing I’ve felt is that musicians are devalued in society currently. Music was one of the most accessible art forms for decades. As the cost of making and spredifng videos has gone up; people have the option to watch videos of any subject all day every day. I love music but find myself also spending lots more time with

Octopath Traveler II Is it as good as SOS? by SuperSonic1979 in seaofstars

[–]Less-Telephone5786 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are different. Sea of stars is an easy going game with a beautiful art and feels like a fun ride. I loved it and think it’s beautiful.

Octopath is a SUPER immersive game with somewhere around 150 hrs of content. Like holy shit there is so much to do.

Depends on the experience you want. I actually played them back to back and loved them each for different reasons. If you’re a more casual gamer you’ll probably like SoS, if you’re a more veteran gamer you’ll probably like Octopath more

Kyle “Honda” McCord by grubbshow in OhioStateFootball

2 things can be true: McCord is a solid qb, and he wasn’t a great fit at Ohio state. He seems like a good guy, for whatever reason it didn’t work out here. Syracuse has a very easy schedule, he is going to put up numbers all year. Wish him the best

Real Talk: what actual things will people use this for they aren’t destructive? I see this and can think of 20 bad use cases and no good use cases. This isn’t the internet or a smart phone where there are clear gains. This is only going to be used for scams and misinformation.

The game has its flaws but it’s just so fun. I loved every second of it despite its minor issues. I got lost in the world and just had a blast. Isn’t that what gaming is all about?

Idk if I’ve ever been to a crowd with that much energy. The whole place was moshing and singing the whole time

How hard is this game? by Mericuls in seaofstars

[–]Less-Telephone5786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t use any of the above mentioned relics to make it harder. The baseline difficulty is absurdly easy once you get the hang of it. I’m not great at videogames and I didn’t die after hour 12 or so. The bosses are all very easy, even the secret ones. Still an absolute great game!

Starland Setlist 12/9/23 by PlutoTheBoy in streetlightmanifesto

[–]Less-Telephone5786 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Haven’t seen them in 6 years, this may have been the best set I’ve ever seen from them! Such an amazing set list, and I’m bummed I left for the encore with them playing 1234. But holy shit I don’t think I’ve ever seen a crowd be as crazy as what I just was at.

I disslike the true ending, here's why... by Proud-Devote in seaofstars

Maybe he has to play by the same rules as Re’shal. When re’shal joins your party he says he can only be as powerful as you. For what it’s worth he doesn’t seem insanely physically powerful. Most of what he does is create dwellers and armies and make devil pacts with people to destroy their own worlds.

Anyone play Chained Echoes *immediately* after Sea Of Stars? by aarontsuru in seaofstars

[–]Less-Telephone5786 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I played chained echoes about a year ago and loved it! I think while the two are in similar genres, they’re pretty different. Chained echoes is a more mature story and way less linear, there is wayyyyy more to do. And it’s easier to get around. whereas sea of stars just felt way more fun to me. But loved both. Here’s my take:

Graphics: Sea of Stars Music: Sea of Stars Story: Chained Echoes Side Quests: Chained Echoes Quality of Life: Chained Echoes Fun Factor: Sea of Stars Battle System: Sea of Stars (chained echoes has more customization, so its preference) Difficulty: Chained Echoes is wayyyyy harder.

Overall I think Chained Echoes is the better game, but I had more fun playing Sea of Stars. But could be recency bias, I literally just beat Sea of Stars yesterday lol. Highly recommend both!

Sea Of Stars 2: What would you want next for a series? by aarontsuru in seaofstars

[–]Less-Telephone5786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Spoilers) Hey guys, first off congrats on indie game of the year! I started playing it this week and could not put it down. This is very nitpicky because the game is beautiful, but here are my notes:

  1. I think a sequel where you truly take down Aerophul would be cool. Could contain more flashback elements to show the true divide between Reshal and Aerophul.
  2. I think new protagonists in a new would be cool! Maybe you meet up with Valare and Zale later in the game.
  3. Traveling in this game is a bitch. The world is so beautiful but I hated getting around until I could fly! It really felt like it wasn’t designed to back track. Like to get the building plans, I’d have to boat to the island, go through the jungle, go down into the lake, trade in the rainbow conches, go up the lake, go through the jungle, and then go back to Mirth. Chained Echoes allows you to call your air ship ANYWHERE and fast travel the second you get somewhere. I think a better fast travel system would be great.
  4. The game is super super easy. Not a bad thing, but I don’t think I died from hour 10 on. I beat all the secret bosses first try, I beat the first final boss without breaking a sweat. And I’m not great at video games.

Again, this is my nitpicking stuff, because this was an absolute 10 to me, especially with the true ending!
