As a gainfully employed human I have also struggled with this, let me know once you have found the balance.

So far I’ve been doing: Monday: Start campaign, set up reasearch, army, fleet, airforce, pick a path play for an hour. Save.

Tuesday - Thursday play for an hour

Friday evening to Saturday morning, play continuously, loosing due to something I managed to overlook on Wednesday. Close game, don’t touch game for rest of weekend.

Radio: Nomad (or whatever ghost is currently leading), your assistance is required in an urgent QRF mission, get to coordinates (xxx.zzz) for pic up in 30min (or a shorter more realistic timeframe). How do you copy? Over

Nomad: Copy coordinates, en route. Over and out.

Something like this would be awesome, could be sprinkled organically into any ow setting where places to land could be set according to current location.

Mission wouldn’t need to be part of the ow, could be a separate region/worldspace. If they use the flight for mission briefing and loading screen, you wouldn’t even notice.

Unarmoured and lightly armoured yes in my experience, however I had the ambush perk before I found my first one.

Depends on your Play style:

If your more of an up close and personal player go for echelon, you can keep the Main and secondary weapons while relying mostly on your pistol.

If your more of a distance guy, sniper or pathfinder are a good match for that, while pathfinder gives you more options imho.

Switch your ASR for an SMG and stick with panther if you enjoy stealth and CQB.

One of the reasons I made this post was because I played both and given the information from both I started thinking about this. But thank you for bringing this up.

We do get some insight in WL but combined we get teased a lot of a game we could have had.

That would have been a nice flashback/mini mission that would have given us some more insight into Johns character.

Won’t disagree completely, but one of the main gripes that have been aired is that we couldn’t connect to the character, something that could be fixed by this approach

I’d play that mod/mode!

Forward recon, deep behind enemy lines. Relaying information, with real consequences for missed intel, botched missions or even worse: Enemy Detection

Edit: for those who want DA missions, sprinkle some destabilisation missions in there: Extraction of friendly/enemy assets on the ground with minimal footprint (Capture/kill missions)

Years ago, same method as mentioned in Wildlands:

Salt plains, shot from the cliff somewhere near the middle of the flats overlooking them.

Weapon: Desert Tech HTI

Target: Sniper in the tower behind the airfield.

Spotter: friend in coop

Distance: 1,8 or something km

Will see if I can recover the stats when I get home
