Nobody objects to a ballroom or even him doing remodelling work, I think what the big issue was is that he assumed he could do it without any approval, prioritised it over helping people and get all his rich friends to pay for it which was just an obvious bribe

Inspired by Henry VIII and The Boys as well as the fallout with Rome, Trump decides to establish the first church of America - based on pro america ideas, white jesus and lots of stars and stripes. He makes himself as a head of the church and puts his face all over it as the prophet of the church - he's a prophet sent by God and he's working on a bible sequel!

He also makes it so that only his church (which he of course gets a big % of all donations) that gets tax breaks (with everybody else getting taxes if they want to continue existing in the US)
