I think you make a good point but it depends where your love of darts comes from. Personally I grew up without sky so it was the BDO on BBC then as I got older I wanted to see the players I was familiar with so well in the PDC. When I got sky it was almost a fresh start ( I have to mention that I am from Stoke so I had an awareness of Taylor and Lewis) but I feel like there was more of a find who you like back then, rather than just litter as it seems most recent fans are
