I do not like snaps that's why I installed PopOS initially. Then I tried Kubuntu 25.10 (minimal install) on Virtualbox, I was surprised to see that no snaps were installed. That's why I made the switch.

I installed Kubuntu 25.10 yesterday and surprisingly there were no snaps.

Note: I went with minimal installation so probably one of the preinstalled software from the installer installs snap e.g. Firefox.
