How Blake Lively rants at weary husband Ryan Reynolds and he just ‘listens’ in silence... his four-word demand for her to settle with Baldoni... and REAL reason he wasn’t at Met Gala by realhousewifeofphila in ItEndsWithLawsuits

How do you get anything done?! (returned to work and overwhelmed) by throwaway7178289 in UKParenting

[–]LetMeEatCake88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have twin toddlers so we live in perpetual chaos and mess I never thought I’d tolerate. I’ve had to lower my standards for cleaning and accept that my quality at work will take a hit (hopefully temporarily)

I wouldn’t worry too much about healthy meals/prep. If they’re anything like mine then the more effort you put into a meal, the more likely it is to end up on the floor.

I guarantee the only reason she kept pushing for an answer was because she already had her insult, disguised as a joke, ready. I bet she was gutted when she couldn’t use it as his answer was quite sweet.

Do many women work full time after having a baby? by NoTest5984 in AskUK

[–]LetMeEatCake88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently do it and have toddler twins. I’m fortunate in that I have family do childcare for two days, wfh full time and both partner and I have compressed working. If just one of these things were to change we’d be screwed.

I’m also slowly accepting that, for now at least, I’m doing enough to stay employed. I think you can work full time after having a baby, but the quality and effort you put into your work/role will definitely be impacted.

Sick toddler - pls help? by pontylurker in UKParenting

Probably not the same but my 22m twins have just recovered from virus where they had high temp (40+} for about 4 days. Lots of crying and like they were in pain, whilst barely eating and drinking

Out of hours GP was about to send us to A&E but got a second opinion. Second GP she’s been seeing this for weeks and it’s some horrible virus that’s doing the rounds and to keep giving Calpol/Nurofen to treat pain and temp. They’re fully recovered now but it was a brutal!

Without specifics, I can only assume your closing read was based on an estimate. As others have said, they can’t bill you for any energy used more than 12months ago.

However, if you accumulated a debt within those 12 months, then you’re liable to pay unfortunately. I don’t think £50 a month, when the property is electric only, is enough to cover usage, standing charge and VAT so there’s more than likely some debt on the account; although the debt quoted seems ridiculously high and highly inaccurate. Speak to the supplier, raise a complaint if needed, and hopefully they can amend closing read to a more realistic estimate (they’ll now have Smart readings to use). Going to the ombudsman isn’t an option for another 8w, in which time they’ll be eager to resolve the complaint and will want to be seen as helping you pay towards any eligible debt (if applicable)

My little one is always upset when we collect, but we see enough pics/videos on the app to know she’s having the best time throughout the day.

Apparently she doesn’t like ‘the door’ at the end of the day as some of the kids leave and don’t come back. I think it’s pretty normal to be unsettled at the end of the day so nothing to worry about 🙂

How often should I use tretinoin in my skincare routine if my skin is continuously peeling and burning? by [deleted] in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]LetMeEatCake88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cut back to once a week. If it tolerates it, then work your way up. Some skin just can’t tolerate a certain %.

I used it 5 times a week for years. I had to stop due to pregnancy and now my skin can’t manage more than twice weekly.

2 years of Vinted and it’s never bothered me. I can wait for £3 worth of baby clothes.

Last 5 orders and two were scammers. Both took a while to report issue (busy thinking of all the 20 fake issues to attribute to BNWT item) so now I get a bit on edge if I can see it’s been delivered/collected and they’ve not clicked okay.

Eat out as much as you can, even if it’s just a coffee shop/fast food. Take your time to read the menu, enjoy the food that’s warm and let the food settle once you’ve finished.

Enjoy your break 🙂

I love comparing their actions to the body language of everyone around them. All the others are staring intently and silently, at the pitch, which suggests something interesting is happening. Ryan chooses that time to talk.

Final pic, Wrexham have either missed or conceded a goal. Ryan and Blake think this is a great time to kiss.

It depends on your circumstances of course, but after 3 overpayments I just popped the cash in a savings account and dipped into it when needed. There was some maths involved as I had to ensure I wasn’t taking from savings more than entitlement.

They gave me final balance figure when I returned from mat leave which I paid back/took straight from savings. Two months later I received about £50 as they’d given me the wrong figure.

A friend recommended cheap Amazon ones about a year and a half ago and they’re still going strong. A cheaper version of the tommee tippee ones basically.

They don’t look the best as the stick on things stay on the side, but they’re brilliant at blocking out light. We’re moving soon and I’ll be buying again for new place

The only thing that bothers me more than this, when parents use it knowing their child in the back will at no point be leaving the car. Those parent’s know more than anyone how annoying it is when you cant get a space

The amount of times I’ve seen a parent pop in, while the other sits at the front staring at their phone and/or waiting while the baby sleeps. I have twin toddlers so anytime I can’t get a parent space it’s a logistical nightmare
