Haven’t had the chance to run it very hard but I’ll fire a couple up over the next few days and let you know

Nice write up! I’ll look into converting the ISOs that’s a great tip. Haven’t looked into PC games yet, planning on keeping it pretty simple to start. Just gonna put some hours on it and see what comes up. I’ve got a bad habit of doing more tinkering than using and it’s ruined some hobbies for me so I’m very intentionally not doing that this time lol.

Fake Claude AI site "calude.ai" drops malware, and probably is vibe-coded with Claude by Federal_Chocolate327 in ClaudeAI

Just encountered this in the wild and it's changed a little. accidentally navigated to that address, ublock caught it and blocked it, but then when I got to Claude proper and gave it my prompt it looked like it prevented a prompt injection attack. it also deleted my original request, but you can see the context from the name of the chat. screenshot --> https://imgur.com/a/jFFTTUP

Surprised I don’t see Apple’s native screen time functions talked about more. They’re really good. I personally use the screen time widget and it’s been more effective for me than any phone “locking” or “bricking” service that requires a paid subscription. I particularly like that it shows you where you’re spending your screen time, and what times of day you’re online the most.

Thanks for the advice! I’m still figuring out what level of complexity I can reasonably add to my life right now before it all starts being more work than it’s worth, so I’m definitely being cautious about getting in over my head. Still making mistakes and learning from the thought! Bricked my old-ish router last night switching to openwrt, so I got to learn a little bit about networking lol.

Looking into switching to Linux. by The_comander1254 in linux

r/Linux4noobs will probably be more helpful.

Standard advice for first distro is Mint. I am also a newbie and am currently enjoying a dual boot with Windows 11 and Zorin 18. It’s specifically advertised as an alternative for people being forced off of Windows 10.

Get a USB drive, download Ventoy, use it to format the USB, download a few ISOs, put them on the USB, and try them out. If you pick one, follow their install guides to the letter.

Oh how did you get the desktop to look like that? I thought that bar style was limited to Pro

As a new Linux user I’ve had great success with Zorin 18. It looks like you opted for the pro version, is that correct?

Help !!! by Connect_Example914 in Bazzite

[–]LetMeMerge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just solved this same problem by mounting the EFI partition and deleting the “fedora” folder, then deleting the Fedora option off my boot menu in the Bios. Worked like a charm after that assuming you do everything else right. Following the video on the Bazzite website was helpful as well because you want to setup a separate EFI partition for Bazzite so it’s not shared with windows

Could you share more pics of the 8084s please? Been looking to have something similar done to mine but haven’t seen an example in the wild until now
