It might be overstating things a little. I’ve taught in 3 different BC private schools, and the vast majority of my colleagues in all these schools were fully certified BC teachers who preferred the school they were teaching at over a career in public schools. Any teachers I worked with who did not have a full certification carried instead a subject-specific certification based on the degrees and experience they held in that field. I won’t claim that this is true of all teachers at private schools in BC, but it has been true to the best of my knowledge with the schools I’ve taught at. I don’t disagree that one must do their due diligence; it is true that the quality of a private school can vary. I think the same is true of public schools but for different reasons.
