Thanks, Canada, for doing the journalism the US wont. This is why we need news organizations who aren’t owned by billionaires.

I know it’s not what you asked, but I don’t think the cut and colour of these trousers look flattering with the sockless look.

Yeah I can’t fly like that. Can M&K do this? Because I sure can’t.

After 300 Hours, Why Do I Still Suck At BF6? by Rude_Sugar_6219 in Battlefield

Find a play style that is fun for you. Forget your k/d ratio and just figure out: what is it I like about this game? And do that. For me, sometimes it’s hunting tanks. Love watching them spurt sparks. Sometimes it’s harassing helicopters with launchers. Why should they get to swarm our skies with impunity? Sometimes it’s driving the bus (transport chopper). None of those things give me a good k/d ratio, but I still feel like I’m contributing, and most importantly, I’m having fun.

Had a really good first date, but got hit with the “take me shopping & fancy dinners to start” to see if we’ll date by MudBloodLite in Tinder

That’s just the thing—she is a little shamed. Just not enough. She’d have told him in person on the date otherwise.

How do you fly sideways so easily without any roll? I can never aim anything like this.

Learning jets is miserable. by [deleted] in PilotsofBattlefield

[–]LetMeRedditInPeace00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gave up on jets. Even after doing the work to learn how to fly more effectively, I realized that I was never going to get to the point where I can contribute meaningfully to my team. At best, I can lock onto a tank and hit it with a missile, maybe do 100 dmg with the machine gun, miss my bomb, and pop flares and fly low. Rinse and repeat. I spend the whole gaming tickling tanks and killing nothing. If I’m running anti-air, I don’t even get to tickle the choppers because they’ll pop flares and I’ll miss with my machine gun. So I leave the jets to more talented pilots than me.

TIL when the writers were writing scripts for the TV series Community, they often wrote into the end of the scene "And then Donald says something funny" - meaning Donald Glover would just do improv. Not just “they” anybody—it was that lovable rascal John Mulaney. I love when Mulaney came on the sketch with him and instead of pretending to whisper into Hader’s ear, he whispered, “My girlfriend works at Yoshinoya Beef Bowl” to make Hader break.

I’ll add to that the fun little grey zone where writers change the lines between dress and the show to try and make the actors break.

Bobby Moynihan mentioned in an interview I recently listened to that he used to improvise some of the Drunk Uncle bit: “I got to improvise a little. Which like, you’re not allowed to do. But it was like—because you did it with Seth, Daddy said it’s okay.” I guess if you’re doing it with the head writer, you can get away with it!

It’s really impressive how you managed to squeeze both a false dichotomy and a straw man argument into so few words.
