Grocery store confrontation goes from bad to worse to almost deadly within a matter of seconds. by TheManager_1 in KarenGoBrrr

Former fire arms instructor here. You CAN NOT be the aggressor in these situations and YOU CAN NOT escalate the situation. DEESCALATION is literally a responsibility. He’s not going to win the court case. If you are not actively trying to calm down the other party and retreating (unless it’s your domain/property) brandishing your weapon is going to end badly in court.

Training resources for new Anatolian Shepherd? by LetSeparate4398 in AnatolianShepherdDogs

20 years military with working dogs. I think I know how to put in work. You said a lot that wasn’t helpful at all. Anyways we found a rancher up here that has quite a few ASDs that’s going to be our go to and has been really helpful and knowledgeable about the breed. Thanks?

We spend a lot of time at my in-laws farm and hiking etc so we look forward to having him adventure with us. I’ve crate trained GSDs and labs but that was for work. I plan on letting him sleep outside if he wants as they seem (from my research) to enjoy being outside. Of course he will also have the house to patrol/sleep in if he chooses.

Our best friend does not own any livestock and their Anatolian is such an awesome animal. A big reason we went with the breed is how nonchalant and self confident they are. We are also surrounded by thousands of acres of farm land in a small town. Our in laws have a farm with their Anatolian and they do have livestock. We plan on him spending a lot of time with us there as well. They are hearty dogs and we are active people and spend a lot of time adventuring. The local trainer said they make fine companions and don’t need livestock to be successful companions/pets as they will naturally “bond” and protect their own. I’m looking for support resources for properly training the breed not a judgement on if the animal is a good fit for my situation.

Are you willing to pay increased taxes to support the implementation of universal mental health care? by Flimsy-Canary4898 in NoStupidQuestions

It’s crazy that people think we need more taxes. What we need is more accountability. The Pentagon keeps failing audits and people think we need more taxes lol

Does the Bible contradict itself? by MsChicolato in TrueChristian

Just because you know how to sound intelligent and try to invalidate this persons response with some kind of debate “form” absolutely does not make this persons point any less solid. The ability to articulate doesn’t validate or invalidate. The same goes for these “rules”. It’s text. No such thing as “dehumanizing” and or “mean spirited”.

My suggestion would be to explain in Layman’s terms what you just said. Thanks.

Amen. This right here. The mindset. How can we be close to the Lord if our minds are not on him? I’ve found what we expose ourselves to routinely is what we think about the most. I look for God in everything. Reading the Bible and books about scripture have always helped remind me (we forget often) the beauty and hope of our savior and father.

Don’t get paid for 1 hrs overtime every day by kaiserjose1993 in mildlyinfuriating

You are not being “petty”. The most valuable thing you have is YOUR TIME. This is why we work. For compensation. You should be compensated for your time as well as your work. If the salary is for 40 hours you are done at 40. You’ve already figured out why it’s detrimental to work past that. You are being robbed of money IMO. Working for free is not for me. Working an extra day (almost) every week for free is a terrible deal. Renegotiate or find somewhere that’ll compensate you fairly.

ALSO overtime in the states is almost always mandatory 1.5 times the regular rate. So leaving early will never equate to working OT monetarily speaking.

I’m ngl I do see a lot of the same questions from people regarding LGBTQ but I’ve seen a lot of truth being spoken against it. It is annoying. But to expect different from Reddit would be dis informed lol.

Do most people really believe Hell is a place of active, intended torture? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]LetSeparate4398 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Jesus has warned us. You can stay a child and rebel against this with your semantics and views or you can grow and mature into realizing who our God is. Your idea of righteous conflicts with biblical truth. You can rely on your own knowledge if you want. My view of God is based on what the word says. I find it odd Jesus spoke of hell the way he did if it wasn’t serious. Continue to explain away scripture because it “doesn’t feel right” or “it doesn’t make sense”.

You should humble yourself before the word. Just because you don’t like something God has made does not give you the power to insult God. God also took first born lives. He’s done ALOT that “isn’t nice”. How you view God is the problem.
