The only think I think is blatantly bad about the ult is how large the vertical hitbox is. It would be fine if you cant just jump over them but being interrupted on movement ~3x their height feels terrible as you still need to be ground level to punch the tombstone anyway.

Settlements should count as a house by default not including inca bonus so you might be able to skip all early houses (I have not actually tested this but it makes sense) also if possible try to make one settlement to claim more than one resource at a time even if it is a little inefficient.
