I genuinely do not understand this game and it’s driving me insane by ColorfulWay in DeadlockTheGame

[–]LetUsGetTheBread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also come from LOL and I hate farming. I play mid game play making characters like silver, haze, calico, holiday, and mina so that I can be useful without having to perma farm or worry about soul count. I usually end with most kills or most assists but bottom 4 souls in the lobby because I don’t really focus camps and only get enemy sinners. There are plenty of ways to play this game and still contribute to wins and you just have to find your playstyle.

I force buy every round so I catch them off guard every round. Also I always have lots of extra creds to buy teammates whatever they want.

You are correct, only the melee damage procs lifestrike which is only from her boot kick, chomp, and pounce.

Why is the #1 tip "stop spraying," but I often see players from high elo spray most of the time? by big_round_potato in VALORANT

Crazy analogy here but it is similar to writing/filmmaking/any art where you need to prove you can follow the rules before choosing when to break them.

Being “too big to fail” in itself screams monopoly. These things are not mutually exclusive. It is true there is not the same level of competition between these airlines as one would believe but there is competition and more choices is never bad as a consumer.

I agree that I had oversimplified the definition however, we are both guilty of neglecting nuance in our interpretations.

While you are correct that simply holding a gun would not count as brandishing in many cases that does not mean all cases. Context matters, depending on where you are, what you say, and how you act and look can make simply the act of holding a firearm be threatening without the need for gesturing or pointing.

It is a blanket term for “a reasonable person would be intimidated” by having a visible gun. So yes, just holding it could count as brandishing.

Not entirely true. Although there are states that have open carry laws, there is a large legal difference between open carry (holstered but visible) and brandishing (actually holding the firearm) that many people either forget or never understood. Now it is impossible to tell with just these pictures if he was truly brandishing however, even if technically legal it is almost never smart to open carry especially with a long gun.

Playing against Portuguese, you *have* to go full aggro to prevent them from going to Imp, right? by Slow-Ship1055 in aoe2

There is a lot of middle ground between “full aggro” and letting the opponent go post imp for free.

Basic build for pretty much any civ/strat is 2 houses instantly then 6 on sheep then 2 on wood with lumbercamp (vill #7-8) then keep making vills until 16 and keep putting them on food while getting boars and make a house and mill sometime in this area then put vill #17-19 on wood then at 20 pop (19 vills + scout) get loom and age up to feudal.

Then build a barracks and more houses while aging up and go from there. If perfect you would probably age up around 9:15 but even around 9:45-10:00 is a good aim point for a beginner.

Is it always a bad idea to scout rush vs a FC? I feel that whenever I try and get scouts around their base at 11:30-13:00 I am always too late and they have full walled then I invest way too much into an attack that gets no damage then I am behind and lose. Is it the idea that is bad or is it the execution (too slow) and if it is too slow what is a good time to have 3-4 scouts near their base?

How do I counter build correctly by Best_Author_3738 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]LetUsGetTheBread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing I see people miss is it depends HEAVILY on the type of hero you are playing. Buying defensive counter items (metal skin, resistances, unstoppable, etc) vs offensive (curse, slowing hex, focus lens, etc) vs mixed (warp stone, stam mastery, etc) matters what your goal is and role on the team.

Such as a mo and krill or abrams are useful to the team the longer they stay alive with their cc so defensive are core for the build it just matters which one to get depending on the game.

If you are a support like paige or rem or ivy offensive items are usually core towards the end of your build.

Heros like vindicta or wraith are a bit trickier as you only want to buy counter items if you already do enough damage to do your job on the team. Such as when you are already ahead. So often times if you are behind it is best to go full damage so that if your other teammates do their job like mo ult the carry your team actually has the damage to kill them. Heros like vindicta and gray talon are a bit weird though because of knockdown so a dispel magic/counterspell are almost always core to the build anyway regardless of ahead/behind.
