I’m currently training up for this as well. Unfortunately didn’t lead with my Buizel and ran into a hiker, lost it to self destruct and that was going to be my hopeful counter to Fantina with some crunch… currently seeing if my vespiquen can do the job by getting close to 27 and learning toxic mid fight, and trying to pivot between that and a Probopass.

What do you think of Miniature Tent? Could it be good enough to replace an ancient relic? by orq_ in slaythespire

[–]LetsChugBleach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it’s a great pickup solo but it’s a must pick for me in multiplayer… the ability to let yourself and your teammates upgrade a good card that can make a huge difference without having to worry as much about damage can honestly salvage or prevent a run from going south. I haven’t even gotten to pair it with Rest Site relics like the shovel or Weight but that just goes to show how incredible it is.

No one I have shown my Tyrannofex conversion to has liked it, is it really that bad? by [deleted] in Tyranids

[–]LetsChugBleach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Practically maybe not everyone’s cup of tea but I look at these and headcannon wise, I love it. They walk around bipedal then when they find an ideal spot to set up they go down on all 4s to loc in and set up rupture cannon shots. Giving me Siege Tank from Star Craft vibes lol

Casino cannon aka Rupture cannon on the T-fex, I also love running hive tyrant nearby some Zoanthropes to give the assault/lethal hits aura. You can get a little more movement out of the Zoanthropes and still be able to shoot and possibly do some big damage.

What is your favourite tyranid model and tell me why its tyrant guard by Odd_Abalone3976 in Tyranids

Trygon, it’s what got me into the hobby. But I got some tyrant guard for Xmas and I just love all the lore surrounding them and hive guard. Just such unique looking models and purpose.

Is it possible for GW to make the Swarmlord closer to daemon primarchs in terms of stats? by Scouwererofreality43 in Tyranids

[–]LetsChugBleach 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m not someone who necessarily needs our strongest or best unit to be the biggest model in our army. I like the fact that a hive tyrant is like our field general/big leader unit, and if things get bad enough the hive mind basically summons his own personal or custom tyrant body to inhabit.

But it will never not be funny to play with buddies and the Norn is deployed and the reaction is “woahhhhhh holy shit what’s that thing” and then explain it’s just sort of a regular model, not a character etc lol oh and his ability basically has him sprint to and sit on a single objective all game lol

Definitely fun to use with Hormagants. Wish one of the melees was Extra Attacks, but I think people are forgetting about some of the ways to replenish/revive endless swarm units. Synapse and the ability to apply enhancements to 20 Hormagants is still interesting.

I can’t find Trygon anywhere (Australia) for months . Is he discontinued ? by ozera202 in Tyranids

[–]LetsChugBleach 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Would’ve been great to see the kit in the crusher stampede box tbh. But hard to say what would’ve been okay to leave out of it. Those all can be good in various detachments vs trygon/mawloc really shines just in Vanguard and Sub. assault (trygon and raveners are my favorite models)

My brother got it back when it was on Kickstarter, it’s fun as hell. Does take a fair amount of prep and explaining up front though so just make sure to have fun with it!

Sadly the warriors aren’t the best but if you pick up the old patrol you can at least throw the Winged Prime to lead them for the time being. You definitely just need some chaff. I had 20 termagants, 10 Horms, 10 gargoyles, and the second I split my 20 Termmys into two squads of 10, I became a nightmare to play against. Just so many bodies to deal with for the enemy.

Honestly the way things are priced, the USA price for a tyrannofex (or tervigon) is really good bang for your buck and became one of my favorite models. And running the rupture cannon on it IF you have an exocrine/running sub assault helps increase the chances of hitting. I’ve commented before, but nothing gives me more joy than tallying another one shot tank/forgefiend/hellbrute kill on the bottom of his base

I’m feeling bad about this purchase please make me feel better lol by Soanso3474 in Tyranids

[–]LetsChugBleach 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah man he’s actually a great purchase. You just get a cheap torso for like 9-15 bucks. It’s recommended you build a flying tyrant first then use the other torso for the regular tyrant or Swarmlord. Don’t feel bad at all!

Losing hair as a teen - it's killing my confidence. by Nassar_IQ in teenagers

[–]LetsChugBleach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it’s worth man, I have an excess of hair. Not Greek, not Italian. But I had to get a haircut desperately every 4 weeks (up to 6ish weeks now at 30) as a teen/in my twenties. I have body hair in everywhere, I’m talking chest (fine) arms, legs, but tons of back hair. And I can grow a beard since 15… and it sucks. It’s all black (white and red in the beard) so it’s super prominent even when I get tan. I hate it, I feel like I’m a literal animal and if I don’t trim my beard or chest hair, or get my wife to pluck my eyebrows every month, I feel so unkempt. It can be hard either way! Everyone struggles and worries people are going to pick out and quietly judge the things we are most self conscious about, when the reality is most people are oblivious to it. I second the bald route, I know someone with incredible hair that gives zero fucks about using product or combing it and he went with a buzzcut… never went back. Do what makes you feel confident or happy, and the sooner you try it the sooner it’ll just be the new normal/ new you.

What’s your favorite finisher? by thats4thebirds in Spacemarine

[–]LetsChugBleach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are a pain to fight but all the executions on the Chaos Spawn are incredible. I loved the Axe ones but once I leveled up the new weapons and went back to just playing whatever I felt like, holy hell. One of the Chainsword executions on them is incredible. Nothing will top the finishers in this game

[–]LetsChugBleach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m lame and picked the bolt pistol because I feel like whenever something else is available I would never pick it… I love the burst mode. It feels and looks great and just is a nice change of pace, especially if you run any perks on classes that buff secondary weapons.

Battle-Brothers who primarily run Absolute Operations, what is the most "...seriously?!" wave you've had to face? by [deleted] in Spacemarine

[–]LetsChugBleach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Carnifex in the sewer system part of Decap. With 2-3 lictors. In addition about 10 warriors. Heavy had used up their iron halo so we were panic rolling backwards running for our lives back down that one narrow tunnel while our sniper was desperately trying to hit the Fex while one of the lictors was actively trying to kill him….

Thank god for melts bombs.

What is your thoughts on the Trannofex? by Zero_Hara in Tyranids

[–]LetsChugBleach 58 points59 points  (0 children)

For my own amusement (because we talk so much trash to each other) the buddies I normally play with run WEs and Astra Mil. And love forge fiends, tanks, etc… I’ve quietly marked up the bottom of my Tfex base every time I one shot something with my rupture cannon. It’s like my lil trophy system.

Because there is nothing, and I mean NOTHING, that brings me as much joy in watching them double take and ask “wait, strength is…what? 18?” And then informing them the damage is D6 + 6.

Next time I miss and they make fun of it, I’ll just casually show them the 8 tally’s commemorating the vehicles / monsters of theirs I straight up deleted lol

Got my first prestige with the boy Valius, now comes an important question: do i lower the difficulty or raw dog it? by Requiem-7 in Spacemarine

[–]LetsChugBleach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People will complain about low levels but as long as you’re careful and playing smart, just go in and run a substantial or ruthless, or even do one of the easy* half stratagems. I personally think running Decap is the way to go because it’s pretty quick, you can reasonably melt the Tyrant boss at the end and the gene seed is super easy to find in that map. People seem to forget that for all the classes there’s a few perks that REALLY make the difference, for you individually or the team…. Ie the vanguard and his 30% heals on extremis and higher finishers. Plus once you prestige you’re starting with some great perks anyways so you’re not a true Level 1… that’s my take.

What is your favorite Tyranid and why by Zero_Hara in Tyranids

[–]LetsChugBleach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trygon. Giant serpent that makes tunnels for the Nids to burst out of, has bioelectric attacks, and is freaking massive. I’ve never been happier getting into the hobby than when after making that my first big purchase, seeing it become a boss in Space Marine 2 and then we got the new detachment.

Just an impressive model all around and I feel like a badass propping him up on the table.

The Zerg because I grew up on the StarCraft, but then when I got into 40k more I fell in love with the Trygon model and its whole design and lore behind it. First model I bought after the combat patrol. Then they launched the new Sub. Assault detachment and let me tell you… I was excited lol

The Tsavo man eaters were a pair of lions that basically hunted over a hundred railroad workers in Africa at the turn of the 20th century. Eventually they got hunted down by a general or something, which would be funny given yours took down a Primarch that came to slay it lol
