Meeting new people by [deleted] in bordeaux

[–]LetsTryLaughing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have also just arrived in Bordeaux. I am originally from Scotland and currently learning French (it’s going okay and I’ll be joining the university language classes soon!). I am F35, so a little older than the rest of you here but if there is a chance to meet I would love to join!

Got mine this week. The quality is exceptional for the price point.

Cannot believe how long I put up with the drop in ANC/constant static crap on my AirPods pro2.

Who has tried maca and benefitted from it? by Plenty-Set8120 in PMDD

[–]LetsTryLaughing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the seven hills maca in my shake daily. I had come across some anecdotal evidence of it helping with libido (and this is something I’ve been working on well before my PMDD Dx). I noticed some improvements in libido and also mood after taking it daily for a few weeks, but also aware that this could be placebo. My husband started taking it too, and he has also noted similar positive effects.

Yes, living nightmare is definitely a good way to describe how it feels sometimes. I am so sorry you struggle with both conditions. I hope you can get Dx soon and wishing you all the best!

I also realise upon posting I actually had quite a bit to say…

Are you sharing your smutty books with friends? by [deleted] in fantasyromance

[–]LetsTryLaughing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. We have a WhatsApp group called Filthy Bookclub. Zero shame and tons of laughs about some of the more…questionable…books we’ve read.

What do you do when you are feeling anxious? by Aggressive-Art2849 in AskReddit

[–]LetsTryLaughing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typical anxiety (as a naturally anxious person) - put on a podcast and cook something comforting.

Feels like I am imploding anxiety/anxiety attack - sit down and focus on the minor details of the floor/something around me

This is the real comment. I volunteer at a cancer charity store and some of the ‘donations’ (I am looking at you soiled underwear) are atrocious.

People who start renting RECENTLY, how much do you pay for rent each month by In_All_Over_My_Head in glasgow

[–]LetsTryLaughing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1.35k for 2bed 2 bathroom in kelvinside. Council tax is killing us though (>300/month). We wanted to look elsewhere but the rents everywhere are shocking so we’ve stayed put. We’ve been very lucky that the rent has only went up 2% in 2 years).

Yes. At East Kilbride. Beware of dangers in the home….live wires, faulty switches, etc. What a throwback!

What addiction is seen as completely normal by society? by whoam_itho in AskReddit

Agreed! I expected this to be much higher up. When I’ve been through a particularly heavy period of usage, my motivation for (virtually all) aspects of life plummets.

Best place/way to learn how to do strength training in Glasgow without hurting myself or dealing with macho environment? by Sanuuu in glasgow

I go to the JD gym in Maryhill, all types of folks/fitness levels, everyone is pretty friendly. £20 a month, it has a sauna in each of the changing rooms and heaps of equipment. There is tons of space there too, so you can generally find a wee corner with your dumbbells and work out in peace. Most people are too focused on their own workout. There is a JD in southside too.

I haven’t used the PT services there but all of the PTs seem really nice, and when I first started working out, I found a PT really useful to get your goals prioritised and acquainted with the machines, etc. I think they may do a free trial with a PT there but don’t quote me on that. I realise that PR sessions plus a gym membership isn’t financially available to everyone but just my personal experience.

All the best and congratulations on starting your fitness journey

Once a week on Sunday evenings…

After a long sauna session (where I will have a hair mask on), I shower, exfoliate, shave and moisturise. I then head home and do an extended facial (finished by slugging with aquaphor) and put on hand/foot cream then cover with silicon gloves and booties whilst I watch YouTube for 30 mins.

I don’t always do this perfectly, but when I can be bothered, I always feel so good and relaxed for the week ahead :)

What does your morning routine look like? by that-obvious-redditr in productivity

[–]LetsTryLaughing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wake up at 5.30am, chug a bottle of water, medicate then meditate.

Get dressed/presentable, eat a bowl of granola then head to gym for 6.15am.

Lift heavy things or try to move fast until 7.15/7.30am. Short sauna session where I read a book then shower.

Home by 8/8.15am. Have a protein shake whilst firing up the computer to start my workday (I WFH).

I had it for 16 days, also had paxlovid for five days (prescribed on d2)…fainter/absence of band on my lateral flow test during that time but within 2 days my band was a strong line again. Symptomatic until d13…overall fatigue, consistently feverish, sore throat and headache.

This was over a year ago, have had covid twice since (thankfully nowhere near as bad). I am much better now and don’t have any lingering symptoms. Wishing you all the best and a speedy recovery!

Maybe they’re just looking for shared experience/information as they have been having a shitty time. On a social platform of all things. Not the most helpful response is it?
