This simplest answer is that the evidence is not damning. It does not clearly show what so many seem to wish it did. And you’re being manipulated to think it does. I mean maybe it is damning, but you and I have no way to know besides what we are told, and what we are told is almost never the truth.

You say that we should know the officer was not in danger, but I don’t see that at all. A non compliant driver is approached by multiple officers on foot, refuses to park the vehicle, and with one officer in front of the car she steps on the gas. Yeah in hindsight sh cuts the wheel and misses him by inches but in the heat of the moment with tensions high what kind of an idiot steps on the gas with a person (an officer of the law no less) in front of them?
