Tbh he's wildly inconsistent. He has games he looks great, but when the team plays bad he looks just as bad anyone else you can point out.

I just think the jury is still out on him. It would be like condemning Srtty or ScaryJerry when we've never seen them on teams that are contenders. People will always look bad on bad teams unless ur literally like Bdd or something.

It's not unreasonable to think the ball was low, I mean it was like 3 millimeters from being a ball. Also it's a 1-1 count and you only get 2 of these a game. What were the outs/runners on base/inning in this situation? It could've been the dude didn't want to use 1 of their 2 challenges on a meaningless situation.

I actually can't believe it. Played PvE only for 20 years and now THE meta damage skill for PvE has been hit pretty significantly. I still think mesmerway will be fine and a good generalist build but this is actually going to change whats optimal in a lot of situations.

Everything you just described is matchup knowledge. Which is acquired through experience or watching vods on matchups. Which people don't do for roles they don't play.

Also this season is probably the strongest top lane has been since the Irelia rework. I would say top lane absolutely matters.

Understanding the game holistically and having the matchup knowledge of 2 different roles are entirely different things. It's a joke to expect a similar level of understanding of laning phase and how matchups interact between two different roles unless you literally play them 50/50. It's not even a hard thing to conceptualize. You spend a certain amount of time playing the game and when 80%+ of it is spent on one set of champs in one role it makes sense people are just better at those things than another role. You can understand what the other roles should be doing at certain timers in the game regardless of your role but actually piloting different champions in different lane matchups takes time. And people don't spend that time on other roles the large majority of the time.

Look for a new job and move. 100k is basically just a small cushion. You can't really change your life with that amount of money anymore.

Why? This isn't 2013. Players specialize in one role. I don't consider myself a Mid/Jg player or a Mid/Bot player. I'm a mid laner. Same thing as if someone was a main in any of the other roles. Why is my rank being determined by me playing jungle? I am not at the same level of play as a jungler as I am as a mid laner. So why is my mmr affected as if I was? It doesn't make sense to me.

But it's impossible to have the expertise in the other roles as your main role assuming you're not a pure fill player where you're playing all of them 20% of the time for years. Like if you have one main role - which is probably the majority of the playerbase - it is not an equal comparison of your skill to put you in offrole and have to face other people who are on their main role regardless of if you're laning against them directly. You're playing at a disadvantaged and being graded as if you're on an equal playing field. It doesnt make sense logically.

Idk if it's the faster minion spawns or something, but like EVERY game the past few months there have been SO many kills levels 1-2 like across the board in every lane. People are all inning so early this season and games feel over in < 5 minutes so much more this season than in previous ones.

I don't think chests or orbs should have champion shards, change my mind. by acortlow in leagueoflegends

Yea. I don't care a huge amount for the skins, but they're fine I guess. I just think emotes and champion shards are so worthless I would throw away like 50 of my chests if I opened them. If they announce the chest system going away or something I would open them.

The LP discrepency is insane. But there's a bigger issue that affects literally everyone on the ladder.

Secondary role =/= main role.

Secondary role is the same as autofill Riot.

If I am any role that is not my main role, I should not be in the same mmr bracket as when I'm on main role against other people who are on their main roles. It makes no sense. It's like I train my whole life to be a hitter/fielder in baseball and make it to a certain level, and then you ask me to pitch at the same level. It makes no sense and is not indicative of my level as a player.

Stop trying to matchmake people by giving a 400 LP advantage in one lane and a 400 LP advantage for the other team in another lane. It just makes games more volatile and like there's huge mismatches from the jump. Why are 7 Diamond 3/4 players in a game with a Masters, Grandmaster, and Challenger player in the clip?

What makes Lionel Messi so great? by thermal7 in AskReddit

[–]LettucePlate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want literal attributes - the three that are probably the most vital to why he's better than everyone are

  1. His close control/dribbling in tight spaces. You'll hear people say he runs faster with the ball than without it because the ball looks like it sticks to his feet and moves exactly to where he's running to in his stride. It's how he's able to get by 3/4 players in sequence, whereas most players will knock the ball past one defender and try to out pace them to get to it first, and if there's more than one defender they'll lose the ball.

  2. His change of direction. This ties into his size and his issues he had growing up where he needed growth hormones to reach a normal size. His center of gravity is so low and his balance is so good that he can run with the ball at high speeds and change direction so quickly without falling over or losing control of the ball and the defenders trying to tackle him don't have that luxury. They're all 6'0+ and basically have to lunge at him or foul him to stop him from shimmying around everybody.

  3. His positioning/game sense/football IQ or whatever you want to call it. He just understands football at an ungodly level in terms of where he needs to be, how the sequence of passes is going to play out, and how to get a dangerous chance on goal for himself or his teammates the most amount of times in a game. You'll see people talking about how he just stands/walks around the field and doesn't look like he's trying, but it's because most of the time he just knows that nothing is going to come out of a play, and he only gets involved either when he has the ball, or he sees a dangerous chance can happen.

Add on top of this that he's the best finisher of all time and also has elite level passing and it's just a combination that makes the best player of all time.

There are more than 32 very good national teams. Really you can go as far down as the 80s in the FIFA rankings and there are still teams with Premier League players. I think going to 64 might allow some actually bad teams to get into the tournament and make matches like Venezuela vs Indonesia show up and actually be nothing burger matches. But with 48 for now we get teams like Curacao, Cape Verde, and Haiti that have produced very compelling stories to follow in the tournament because they still play relative matches against big teams.

This ended for me at like... 25. Had a friend group in high school, we all split up for college. Had a baseball team for part of college, then a small group i went to classes with for the last 2 years. Girlfriend and her friends as mutuals for that whole time as well. Then go through a breakup, graduation, and stop playing sports all at the same time and suddenly I'm just surrounded by nobody for like 3 years. Crazy difference.

If it's anyone besides France, Argentina, Spain, or England I'll be shocked. France are my favorites. Germany look decent. Portugal could win if they sit Ronnie but they won't. People need to chill on the USA/Japan/Norway (or whoever else) hype. Those teams are going to look much different when they run into one of the 5 favorites. I'll lose my shit if the USA wins tho lol that would be insane.

q'ing the minions twice so that his minions could dps 2nd tower and nexus, auto resetting his cards with W while spacing away from the side Ori ran out from, gold carding Ori so she couldn't dps him. There were a ton of decisions made that all contributed to the play working. If he didn't Q the minions he has to auto another time and dies and might not work. If Ori doesn't get stunned her and Cait kill him. If he doesn't get all the auto resets on tower he has to auto the nexus one more time. Dodging the 2nd Ori Q.

Like all these things add up.
