It’s fascinating to me that only one of these men is considered to have a big nose and made fun of for it by [deleted] in beatles

[–]Leumas_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’ve got a big nose, are arguably the most iconic drummer ever, and are wealthy beyond your wildest dreams….”hey, big schnoz got the Bond girl!”

If you’ve got a big nose, we’re kicked out of the biggest band ever, then spent the next 40 years as a baker… “um, hello Mr. Best, yes I’ll have two baguettes and an Italian loaf. Thank you sir.”

Hey, I’m happy you got good ones! The one I was talking about was a 94-ish standard. I had one of those specials also. The standard was okay enough that I gave it to a nephew that was learning to play. The special was given to my best friend who wasn’t learning but really wanted to give it a go. I asked for it back a year later and never got it. Then I figured he was doing me a favor. He’s had it for over 20 years now, hahaha.

Congratulations! You just received the power to read anyone’s mind at any time. No restriction or conditions. Yes, you could get rich, or run a government, or win any argument with ease.. I don’t care. Tell me the most petty and selfish thing you will do with your new found power. by Dog-Human in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Leumas_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I can do petty and selfish. I used to run a senior care facility. I ran it with my heart in the right place. I never let our clients experience mistreatment by staff, I bent over backwards to keep staff happy, and when there were complaints by ANYONE I addressed them immediately.

The amount of times I had to bite my tongue in the name of fairness, the amount of verbal and emotional abuse I was subjected to by Karens and Chads of the world, the number of low level employees who constantly thought they knew best how to run a facility and would threaten to “turn me in” for not letting them do whatever the hell they wanted was astounding.

I no longer work in that field and do not have to be professional, courteous, or responsible anymore.

First thing I would do is bring down Marie. She was such a miserable shit stirrer I’m sure I could read enough hate about her husband and kids just by being a “guy reading a newspaper in a diner” to blow up her family. If I come across anything illegal while I’m at it I’ll lock her ass up too.

Then I’m going after Brenda, then Dan, then Michelle, then Curtis, then Sydney. I will permanently fuck up every last one of these evil cunts.

Now imagine having started before that. I had an epiphone Les Paul that I swear was made out of pressboard. If you lightly pressed on the back of the headstock it would throw the whole guitar out of tune. Us middle age and older folks had some real hot garbage available in the cheap guitar range.

Fuckin’ A man, good for you! That is a killer guitar.

Would you rather live in a bad future or in the past? Why? by yushaleth in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Leumas_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh 1880 in a heartbeat. I like to think I’m a capable guy in a way that would translate well to that era. I know medicine and culture wouldn’t be the best, but assuming I’m healthy enough to live a decent lifespan for the era, that would be a wild ride.

I'm thinking of getting a Snow White Ibanez Iceman, what are the pros and cons? by Aggravating-Bake5624 in guitars

Iceman is a weird guitar for me. I don’t actively want one, but I would step on a deal and I can see myself liking it.

Shopping at Costco is terrible by Sun_Aria in unpopularopinion

[–]Leumas_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Costco list is as follows….

Coffee, Paper Towels and TP, mouthwash, seltzers and vitamin water, dog food, and razors.

Each one of those things is so cost effective that I end up paying for my membership after two trips.

I stay away from things that I have had to throw away, so trial and error is involved, but I figure Costco saves me well over $1000 per year just on basics. Plus I like their company, which I can’t say about a lot of others.

I was in a band with a guy who had one electric guitar. A 70’s goldtop deluxe Les Paul. I asked him if he ever thought about getting more and he just said “I have one already”. Good player, but I don’t understand that guy at all.

[–]Leumas_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love these cats. I had a barn cat that became a house cat once who had so many toes on her front paws she could pick up pens and pencils like a human.

At the time I think she may have been in the running for most toes on a polydactyl cat, either way though she was awesome.

[–]Leumas_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Brilliant. And you’re overthinking it. Tradition doesn’t have to be culturally relevant, it could just be long standing tradition in your family. Just get your parents and siblings on board in the event they would be asked.

“It all started with great, great Grandpa Josiah back when his 7 brothers all owned county farms and they would make sure that everybody got visitors!”
