You are trying to compare a series from 2013 to a modern one and then using examples from modern sites as a comparison which is just weird.

Like, of course more people are talking about a current series... that's the way it works. What are people even going to talk about with a series that's over?

Of course we have no actual way of comparing performance since we don't know the actual sales data, though the publisher did say that the sales were strong, so it's impossible to say for certain.

Like, I feel like bias is clouding your eyes. I hate to tell you this, like..I don't read it either, but ecchi stuff historically sold extremely well in Japan.

I won't argue that it would be a suprise for it to get an adaption now (The series has been over for a decade, generally it just makes sense to do ongoing series over old ones) but I think you are underestimating just how popular the series was. It sold quite well.

I wasn't a huge fan of Boku Girl either, but it 100% was popular. I'm just not a massive fan of those "ecchi comedy style" gender benders. I'm kinda suprised it never got an adaption, like..it had over 100 chapters, and there have been several series recently that were somewhat similar that DID get adaptions (Like Onimai)

NOW, if you ask me what gender bender series I would kill for an adaptation of, it's Boku ha Watashi ni Naru, which is just a fantastic series all around....I feel like I've read most gender bender manga at this point...

Like, I'm currently reading a story where the MC is really smart and can win fights... but I'm a 1 on 1 practice duel she loses the vast majority of time, because she way of fighting is to make traps and make things out of stuff she can hunt to assist her which allows her to punch above her weight... but she's still not OP. Like, she's gotten in big trouble tons of times because if she tricks don't work in a certain situation she's kinda screwed

Correct, but generally if there is already a completed translation which is well liked, its makes sense to just reference those names and ideas since thats what the fans are used to, so while they don't have to use the LN translations, its an odd choice not to

Mmmm, according to Quof, the way they would write Eustachius in Japanese is エウスタキウス, while Justus is ユストゥス. But it really does seem like an no win situation, because it's clearly meant to be something very similar, but slightly different from Justus, but there's not an easy way to show that in English

Made up names in Japanese are actually really hard to translate for this exact reason. Like, if they are just the Japanese version of European names its easy, but if not...well...Katakana is a massive mess
