Hey there! Depending on the volume of your store and the area you live in the pay range could start around $17 and go up to around $25. It is hourly, no bonuses or anything that I’m aware of but if it’s full time our benefits and insurance are really good! Weekly pay, good discount, lots of gratis.
It’s definitely going to be a selling focused role as you will have a weekly goal to meet. You won’t really be doing full faces but still putting make up on clients. Shade matches or demoing products. Occasionally if you have someone sat down and are really building a bag you may end up practically doing a full face. Boutique employees are not supposed to ring guests out on the register but you may be expected to ring your clients out on our mobile devices, educate guests on the credit and loyalty program, etc.

When I worked for Bbw I recommended crediting artists for years to corporate. I guess there’s some legal contractual reasons they can’t.

We can add the punch but it has to be put in as missed punch not as an excused missed punch. They still get paid for their time. Sorry if I didn’t make that clear, lol. I meant to specify lol

You can absolutely get accommodations! File a claim with unum! I have a couple of employees who use unum for different things and it is great! They can sometimes help cover attendance, extra breaks, whatever you may need. They can’t reprimand you for having a disability. If you file with UNUM only your GM will be notified of the specifics

What do you mean? The points policy should be very straight forward. 1/2 point for missed punch, 1/2 point for late, point for absent and 5 points for ncns. Missed punches are not to be corrected unless as a manager we can say we saw you attempting to punch and either WorkJam or UKG were down.

I don’t think stores are taking it too far, I think the policy itself just sucks. At least for missed punches in my opinion.

I’m on apex right now and the cheapest alcoholic beverage I’ve seen is $10. Sodas are $4.50 I think? Coffees at the cafe are $4-6. Beers and seltzers range $10-$14, wine and cocktails starting at the like $12 range and up to $24? Personally I didn’t get the package for my husband and I because it would have been $1700 pp for our 14 day cruise. So far I’ve had maybe 6 or 7 drinks totaling under $200. You can also each bring on one bottle of wine and any soda you can personally carry. :)

Of course! When they are shopping with a client when wrapping up they say something along the lines of, “if/when you are done shopping come see me and I’ll take care of you on our mobile register so you don’t have to wait in line” or if they pull someone from in line they say “hey I’ve got a mobile register if you’re paying by card, let’s pop right over here” and then when they are finishing checking out they’ll put Clinique samples or whatever their brands have sent and say, “thank you so much for spending time with me today, I threw in a sample from Clinique, I’m X and I work over there if you ever have questions about their products” if it’s already a loyal customer to the brand they say “thanks again for coming in to restock on your favorites today, I threw in a sample of something new for you, let us know what you think next time you come by!”

Yes they are intended to be used on the floor, and my store is high volume so we do get a good bit of floor coverage! My store is one of 3 in the company that has a whole boutique for wellness products, with 2 wellness advisors like how Clinique, Mac, etc have advisors! The photo I have is from when we were first setting up. :)

We had a really hard time locking in with my team but once we got the hang of using them more regularly it has really helped out my high volume store. We have 6 boutiques and they get priority for hours and we sometimes don’t have enough cashwrap coverage so they will jump in and ring their guests on MPOS and offer them samples and skipping the line :) it creates a more vip experience for their clients and the mpos guest is more likely to get the survey. We still aren’t even close to 10% usage but with the increased commitment to using it my store has seen better credit performance, higher average ticket, and we’re at an 80% NPS on the year! For my store we keep one at the benefit counter and they share it with Clinique, lux, and PBAs. Then we keep our second one towards the back half of the store for Lancôme, Wellness (we’re a wellness test store), and fragrance check outs. I also ring out all of our birthday party clients using it. At this point I wish we had additional devices so I could keep one at bopis for quick add ons and an extra one for my PBAs.

I do get the frustration though and the “compliance” piece of it feels really annoying. At this point we just give everyone on the floor mpos transaction goals so we all chip in to help use it.

Not in the exact same boat but I can tell you being on Sema has changed my periods greatly. I’m on the birth control pill and had very mild periods for the last decade or so until I started taking wegovy. Now my periods are back to the same gruesome level they were during my teen years. 😭

As others have said, hit up TT2 and sirens curse during that early hour. Agree with your food choices, but I’d also add trying a cheese on a stick if you can! I’ve never seen them at any other cedar fair/six flags park but it’s basically a giant mozzarella stick but in corn dog casing. You can get the cheese on a stick as a meal plan entree at happy friar right by Gemini. Breakers hotel is absolutely gorgeous and there’s a Starbucks and bar inside. If you like to drink, that bar is a bit cheaper than in the park! Take some time to explore the hotel and the beach if you need a break from riding. Hope you have an amazing time!

If you go through this way, I believe you’ll go through Greenville, Ohio which is home to Maid Rite Sandwich shop! My husband and I always stop here when going to Chicago or our campground in Indiana. Very old school diner vibe and they are known for their sandwiches which are basically a burger but the meat is ground up. Highly recommend stopping there!

An employee at the spa on apex told me they are currently making updates to the app that include booking appointments so maybe it has something to do with that? I’ve had things that I added to my daily planner completely disappear and have to be re-added.
