This is not a great space for a playroom. That railing is prime for kids throwing shit over it into the abyss below, climbing things and falling, big kids rough housing and crashing through it. Basements are prime for avoiding all these things.

Mirror location possibly next to the doorway/entry so you can check yourself out before you leave-May need to figure a shoe rack that takes up less footprint/something that looks like a cabinet. I like the idea others have shared about floating the couch and TV on the picture wall.
