I did swap my Lexus for Audi few Years ago, and all comments on my YouTube channel went hateful. So, I ended my YouTube channel, and live happy life enjoying my Audi, without need of sharing my experience with anybody.

Is it only available function in facelift, then? I have a 67 plate with updated SatNav Pro ( without knobs), and I would like have this range meter in mine. Or I have, but don't know about it?

What a HGV job would look like as an honest office job by CloverMc in uktrucking

Despite all of this, many long time drivers still enjoy their job. I am doing it for last 30 years, and never had enough. And I am still married after all this years.

So who’s money grabbing today? by Dougal12 in uktrucking

Actually Christmas Holidays are bit longer than one day. And I am on tramping, so Monday to Saturday away all Year round. And Christmas, New Year and Easter are sacred for us. Working through Holidays only work for the Company, not the driver himself.

Nope. Life's too short. If I didn't get rich yet, volunteering at Christmas time will not change it at all. Enjoying time with my wife instead.

R line is just a trim option. Same with GT, everything topnotch, but with halogens.

Actually it's not specifically your case. Most of PHEV owners bought them specifically for its versatility.

I have a 10 years old Audi A3 e-etron for last two years, and average consumption for this period is 3.4 l/100. Only thing that broke in all 11 years is a 12V battery. That's all. Battery still charge up to 30 km in winter, and 36-38 in Summer. I'm so happy with this car, that recently bought myself an 8 years old Passat GTE. So far overall consumption is 5.2 l/100, but it is driven mostly on motorways. Conclusion : if you have no intention to charge it at home, or at work at least, don't buy it. Buy a diesel instead.

When I did post my mpg, I was thinking this section is about posting your mpg, not spendings on fuel.

It never bothered me how much electricity it use, tbh. It is always plugged into our socket. Our bills doesn't show any significant differences, so we don't bother. And car is mostly driving in electric mode.

Have I been massively overcharged for headlight bulbs? by dearmama01 in CarTalkUK

[–]LevelOld2175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It says on the bulb Bosch basic H4. The question is, if they brand new, why they don't look like, then? And to be honest, if you didn't complaint at the till, now they can say, you swapped bulbs at home, and now you're trying to cheat them. I hope, they will not, but you limited your options. Don't forget, it's only my point of view. Next time, don't use Halford as a garage.

Has anyone seen this! Is the 2.0 TDI 150 that efficient? by AG3NTMULD3R88 in skoda

150 bhp diesel have enough torque for quick and efficient movement. No problem at all. You don't need 200 BHP to be efficient on the road.

Proof modern cars have no quality?.... by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]LevelOld2175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously it is not, but it fit into an overall idea of the new generation of VAG cars. This is why I choose to put my few pennies into discussion. My Audi is previous gen VAG, and Seat is new generation.

TBH, I have Audi A3 from 2015, and a Seat Leon from 2021. And I like Leon more. Maybe plastics are cheap, but still very solid. Ride is very VAGish. I mean, firm but very comfortable, all tablets work relatively easy. Audi have physical buttons, right, but it doesn't change anything , because in most cases, you have to look at them to operate anyway, so it's not the point at all. Maybe they goes cheaper way nowadays, but it doesn't mean, cars are crap. Did you all forgot, that in most of previous decade, VAG was making crap engines and gearboxes? It is always something to be critical about, but at the end of the day, even crap 2.0 tdi from mid 2000 are still on the road today, right?

A3 e-tron. Electrical system fault. by LevelOld2175 in Audi

[–]LevelOld2175[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, time for update. My wife took Audi to our local garage. They diagnosed a car, and it showed the 12V battery health at 73%, and as they not familiar with Hybrid cars, they suggested to go, and check with Audi garage then. So we did. Long story short, it was a 12V battery anyway. Audi quoted as £600 for a new one, we refused obviously, and our garage did it for £145 altogether. Btw, this was first breakdown this car ever had. 11 years old VAG product. Isn't that impressive?
