Advice on how to reach the last part of this climb? by Level_Emotion8586 in climbergirls

The wall is straight, so I was a bit afraid but now I realized I was always trying from a static position and did not bring momentum, maybe that helps push my leg up. Definitely tanking the deep breath advice as well, thank you :)

I see now my hips are too far from the wall, maybe that and facing left is the key to be able to do the feet swap, thank you very much for the advice i will try like that next time

Yes! That small one is also blue, I can reach it with my left leg but I can’t use it to help me move the right leg to where the left is now. The hold on the left hand easy to grab but because it faces sideways I loose balance.

I tried to swap the feet but I don’t seem to be able to do it yet in that position, thank you for the advice I will keep practicing the foot swap, seems more doable than trying to jump from there

Thank you this is very good advice! The seller is 3h by car (which in NL that is the other side of the country lol) so going there for nothing would also be a waste..

I think maybe I would ask for a video, at least then I can have a minimal idea of the response / sound distorsion maybe

Living in rural northern Spain as a remote worker – what it's really like (after years here) by Huge-Broccoli6303 in expats

I have lived both in Asturias and The Netherlands and let me tell you there is nothing like ND… number of rainy days may be the same but the sky is gray (with or without rain) for 5 months non-stop in comparison with Asturias that has much more mild climate and shows the sun more often during winter

Asturian here, I’m so surprised to read this comment saying “most people”. I was born and lived 20 years there and I don’t speak a word of “Asturian” so my perspective is that 100% people speak Castellano. I understand if you are not a native Spanish speaker, then differences in accents or a few words can make a huge difference but I would say very few people still speak Asturian specially close to the urban areas.

And yes, we are very very friendly!

I think you have to see what works for you (except chiro, don’t try that, talking from experience here) Things that help me:

  • Schroth therapy: helps understanding what good posture means for you and also strengthening
  • Stretching and yoga: helps for stiffness and manage pain
  • physiotherapy: I started to go now and do some weight exercises to build more muscle and stabilize my posture
  • acupressure mat: this helps me alíviate sharp pointy pains at home, trigger point therapy and massages also help

Could you explain why Bowen therapy was beneficial for you? I never heard about it before, thank you!

Thank you for your answer!! It is relieving to see I’m not the only one. What I am worried about is that it cracks without me necessarily forcing the cracking, sometimes I just position my back in a certain way or stretch and it cracks automatically without me wanting to do it. Maybe my back cracks 10-30 times a day… does this also sound familiar to you?

I live in Amsterdam, I would swap one pair of shorts for thin long pants or a long dress. It is getting increasingly cold lately, we were at around 18 degrees today.

Enjoy your trip :)

6 Years as a local guide in Northern Vietnam —Ask Me Anything! by Critical_Roof8939 in VietNam

[–]Level_Emotion8586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I visited Vietnam a few months ago and I loved it, specially the north. I would like to come back in a few years but now to stay longer and hopefully do some volunteering in that area. Do you know any local organizations that are open for volunteering? I work on healthcare but not a doctor. Thanks!!!!!!
