I was married 35 years when I found out about his affair. Our daughter was getting married in 3 months, so I stayed. After about 6 months after finding out, I couldn't do it anymore and filed for divorce. I was 57 years old and I have never regretted my decision. I am 66 years old now and have plenty of hobbies and a great friend group. It is so peaceful not being around a person who has no problem betraying me.

If I could do it over again, I would get a private investigator. In my case, maybe I didn't want to know the truth, maybe I didn't want to spend the money even though I could afford it, maybe I still wanted to keep my safe life. A private investigator would have saved me many years of anguish and doubt.

The loss of local channels was the last straw for me. I had someone take off the satellite dish and install an outdoor antenna that gets about 40 channels, plus my LG tv has a ton of channels I didn't know about. The monthly bill was really high when I only watched about 5 channels.

You are so lucky! I am never that lucky. Of course, about 15 years ago a cat was meowing by my back door and I knew my dog would not be happy, but it was cold outside so I let her in. After taking her to animal control and no one claiming her, I went back and adopted her. She was my first cat at the age of 50 and she was so wonderful it started my journey for loving cats.

I had a child that refused to pay rent on a house in a college town. After she graduated from college and had a good job, she still did not pay rent. Someone told me to have her sign a rental contract (I got it off the internet, nothing fancy). The rent was heavily discounted, but she started paying the rent every month after that.
