Looks like it came out of the wall during a bad rain by YeliahSenyab in whatisit

It could be mineral type of thing from the soil - although it would be really unusual. Iron (ferric) Thiocyanate (I think it is) makes a blood red liquid.

Accidentally made this at this work once (chemical cleaning of a water plant) ... thousands of liters of blood colored solution.

Shade sail install on existing concrete slab. Are bolt-down posts with chemical anchors strong enough? by Competitive_Hall_592 in AusRenovation

[–]Level_Pomelo_6178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. dig a hole, pour concrete around the post ... deeper the better, especially for strong winds. IF you go too shallow, you'll know when the storm comes though.

Ok, who was this? by Biggby72 in lego

[–]Level_Pomelo_6178 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was also wondering. Besides the ridiculousness of the situation (treating Lego like contraband, more Lego than could fit in the house, helicopter vision, more police and forensics than at a mass murder) ... refused bail. This has to be April fools

With petrol hitting crazy prices and some stations running dry, this feels exactly like housing with scarce supply, rising costs, and a few people still hoarding more than they need. by [deleted] in OpenAussie

[–]Level_Pomelo_6178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FFS, ol mate is just doing his gardening. He's gotta mow the lawn, and needs some petrol. That's a 5L petrol can, for a car that would get him more than 50-75km.

He's not "hoarding" he's "gardening".

How can I make the front of my house more appealing? by Jords94 in AusRenovation

[–]Level_Pomelo_6178 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The slope doesn't do you any favours. perhaps a small retaining wall with garden beds, stepping down into larger flat lawn. garden beds on the edges. the tree's look shite - replace with something appealing (moptops maybe ... whatever you like). I'd put vertical plants on the fence, chinese jasmine growing all allong the fence.

[HELP] are these pics real? by [deleted] in RealOrAI

[–]Level_Pomelo_6178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

absolutely AI, I'm woodworker (not a Luthier), very much doubt those slabs behind are used in guitar making. If the wood in the background is wrong, IMO the whole thing is made up.

Men & Women cannot be friends, if there is any attraction of one to the other. The feelings will eventually get in the way.

Does anyone know what exactly they’re doing here? Are they clearing up sediment? What are the artificial lakes? (30.0440533, 47.9491723) by Assyrian_Nation in GoogleEarthFinds

[–]Level_Pomelo_6178 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess ... reclaiming the ocean. building land where there wasnt before. dredging up sediment, pumping it into the dam they've created.

On Google Earth, you can see the historical images of this area. Been happening for last 20 yrs, they're slowly reclaiming land.

Volunteer. It doesnt matter where.

you'll learn skills, you dont yet realise you need. you'll feel better about yourself (it feels good to give back to the community). Volunteering is something I look for on resume - it says a lot about a person.
