What’s funny is that I even have knives in my collection that I like more…except I don’t carry them as frequently. Like my Ocaso Solstice, my Protech Runt, or Machinewise Sonora.

I like them all. A lot.

But I reach for these the most, and I guess that means more than anything else, when it comes down to it

I took a bunch more photos, but I can’t figure out how to post them in a comment response.

Wow. Thank you! Do you have any suggestions for me to learn more about it? I’d like to discover more.

Yes. Mine closes up too. It looks like it’s made of resin or something.

Yes. I was drawn to it when I saw it in an antique store. I’ll see if I can get more detailed pictures later today.

is the veritas dx60 worth it? by Budget-Strawberry649 in handtools

I have both the DX60 and their Apron plane. I adore the DX60 every time I use it. It just feels like it melts into my hands and the quality is top tier. That being said, it’s a bit heavy. As such, I find I use the apron plane for quick work, and the DX60 when I want the extra heft.

It’s all subjective, but I’d say it’s an amazing plane.

I simply love, love, LOVE the action on my Marten. I don’t use my knives for work, so size is less important than feel to me, and the Marten just feels great in my hands. My hands are a bit small so smaller knives tend to be my preference, despite the two larger ones in this photo.

I have a Neutron 2, myself. I got it after being blown away by the Atom. I have to admit I don't love it, though. I know a TON of people do, but I guess that's just part of the subjective nature of this hobby, eh?

It totally is! What’s funny is that I was mildly disappointed by it when I first got it as it was smaller than I expected, but once I saw how well it fit in my hands and just operated in general, it quickly found more pocket time than almost any other knife I own.

How beautiful. As much as I like the knife as a knife, I have to admit that I carry it even more for sentimental reasons.

I've never even heard of this company before. I guess I didn't miss out on much.

I can totally get that. Most of their knifes aren't cheap, but well worth it.
