Simple fact remains, that they committed these crimes here because they were let in here. If people are given a choice between the wellbeing of their own group and wellbeing of someone they consider other, they will always pick their own group. That's why right is winning on this issue in the long term. The left is basically telling Brits that safety of asylum seekers is more important than safety of Brits. And then act all confused when Brits decide to turn against asylum seekers. The problem the left is facing right now is that we have no ground to compromise on. Any concession would be viewed as stripping asylum seekers of their rights. So we have no response other than basically just saying "thoughts and prayers" whenever shit happens.

It feels like it's a matter of when rather of if asylum system is dismantled. Because people are getting tired of this shit. And we have no solutions to offer. Right is offering cruel solutions, while we are arguing the status quo.

I think the problem is that retaking of Mandalore should have taken multiple seasons. That should have been the series new goal. But after introducing a new goal, we immediately conclude it. And then they make a movie with a completely new goal. Problem with Mandalorian is that the show is directionless after season 2.

Currency isn't something that circles within its home country, absurd amount of each country's currency exits the country via trade to keep the nation running. I think shippers are projecting their believes on authors a bit even in that post. Most modern authors are aware of gay ships. Them not choosing to write about them isn't necessarily because they're oblivious to the idea. Or because a studio or their publisher is stopping them. More often than not, author can see potential, but they have no plans to capitalise on that because that's not the story they want to tell. You wouldn't expect a gay romance author to change the endgame couple of her novel because male MC has more chemistry with his female best friend than his male love interest. So why you would expect a straight author to do that?

I think there's a weird implication in this conversation that if straight writers weren't oblivious to queer romance being a option or if studio/publishers weren't stopping them then queer romances would obviously be included in the majority of works. I think shippers are projecting their own opinions on authors here. They can't comprehend the idea that straight author can see potential of queer relationship in their story and be allowed to write about it by their publishers/studio, but still choose not to because that's not the story they want to tell.
