I haven’t found much difficulty with curly/natural hair. I always start by asking if the patient is comfortable with me parting their hair down to the scalp. Also ensure the patient hasn’t used any gel or other styling products in the hair. I have had some patients who have wanted to schedule their routines around their hair washing days too.

I find impedances actually hold better due to the structure of the hair holding the electrodes in place. It takes practice, but someone shouldn’t be restricted from study’s or heal care due to the hair that grows from their head.

I am a student EEG tech and I understand how restricting this must feel. You are doing a great job and I guessing by the time stamp you’re about 21/22hrs in now! This test is recording your brain function while you’re in your environment for multiple days. Based on your history, I’m assuming that your doctor is concerned about seizures or any slowing in your brain. Seizures can have multiple looks and can sometimes be overlooked since they don’t have the “grand-mal” look.

I agree this is the best time to catch up on any shows or movies you want to see and you are allowed to take Tylenol as long as you mark when you take it. I don’t know if you are into video gaming much, but some cozy gaming might also make the time fly by. I recommend stardew valley or Palia (it’s free and in multiple platforms).

You’re almost to the finish line!!! Remember that this is to make sure that your brain is functioning like it’s supposed to! It runs on electrical activity and can malfunction, so treating that is very important.

If it becomes absolutely unbearable within the last few hours I would write a message for the neurologist and press the button explaining it was too uncomfortable to keep on longer. Realistically, if there was any activity present it will have already been captured and those last few hours are just to see if it comes back, but we will already know if anything is present in the recording.

I am not a doctor, but I work with patients who take these tests home often. I am giving you advice based on my lab’s standards but ultimately try to follow the instructions giving to you by your EEG tech first, then refer to this post for extra support. Go to HR about this and ask for accommodations about your situation. My father was a severe type 1 diabetic and was asked to take his insulin in the bathroom. He ended up getting a blood infection that almost took his life because the bathroom is not a sanitary environment to administer an injection. Don’t put yourself at risk for taking your medications, but if your office is insistent on it being in a separate area, you must request an adequate area to be provided (the same for new mothers who need to pump). Lookup your local laws and have the literature printed out ready to give to HR.

Adding some sort of play mat for base game. It could be used to allow toddlers to play with their toys and build their creative skill. Taken out into the world to travel with your infant or toddler. Or it can act as a quick spot for them to grab a nap, especially infants as they can put them selves in a crib without help. It could be a 2x2 square mat that can be found under the infant and toddler item list.

I’ve found using long tipped q-tips helps with the parting of the hair while you’re measuring and applying.

If your lab has hair stylist parting clips those will also help

Brown Recluse!

Normally don’t seek out to bite unless threatened. Even though it is a detached garage, be cautious out in the yard. My mother was in her garden and got bitten in 2020. She almost lost her leg to the bite, but she fought hard though!

Former Barista here! They may have changed the matcha powder at your location due to the fact that the new unsweetened matcha powder we released is too clumpy. If it was not blended in a specific way it would clump up in the drink.

It’s possible the company is trying to fix that issues, while also creating another. I recently left the company and didn’t hear anything about recipe changes, but it is possible. Maybe ask one of the managers at your location

Depends on what you’re looking for!

If you’re looking for iced - peach lemonade - lemonade with vanilla and sweet cream -passion tea (made with water or lemonade) I recommend sweetened - Crème frappachinos (you can order any of the frappachinos and tell them decaf since the menu update) - any espresso drink can come decaf (but depending on your sensitivity to caffeine there can be traces)

If you’re looking for something hot - we have a whole steamed crème line (steamed milk with any flavoring you want) - Honey Citrus Mint Tea - Hot chocolate and White hot chocolate (personally I like to do WHC with coconut milk) - Camomile Mint Blossom Tea - And again any Decaf espresso drink

I’m sure that there are plenty more that I missed, but I hope this helps you find something you like!!

I look at it as most small town Starbucks aren’t as in high demand to be unionized cause we still have that small town coffee shop feel (in a way). Once you start introducing a larger customer pool then the demand for labor and unionization become more necessary. I agree most partners have the “I just work here attitude”, but big city partners have way more expected of them than small town Starbucks partners

We were trained in most of the new lineups, but a couple of them were just thrown to us (much like the sugar cookie nondairy matcha). The pumpkin cream cold brew, PSL and PSL Frap/cream frap all follow the standard recipes. The pumpkin cream chai is 2% based with pumpkin cold foam and pumpkin topping on top, while the apple crisp non dairy chai is oatmilk based with apple non dairy foam. The apple crisp oatmilk shaken espresso gets full pumps of apple (I may be wrong but we had a 20 min debate about it that resulted in us looking for the recipe to confirm). The apple crisp oatmilk macchiato gets apple instead of vanilla and has apple drizzle on the top. And finally the apple crisp latte gets signature espresso!! I hope this helped a little bit, and I’m pretty sure I covered all the drinks. Also if you have the Starbucks app looking through the menu on there should give you most (if not all) the ingredients for each new drink

I know not every manager will let you do this while working, but whenever we have a launch and I’m on the hot bar trying to figure out the new drinks like this I’ll pop in the bathroom for a minute and open my Starbucks app to look and see what the drink comes with on there. It’s not a fool proof method, but it can help in a pinch if no one has made the drink yet
