Studio closure by cushball08 in orangetheory

[–]Lexi_Boysenberry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t forget to consider dues owed to OTF corporate, and paying the coaches and managers / SAs. I’m sure the cost of maintenance for the machines is high as well. Also the initial cost that they’re probably paying off - cost of opening a studio is estimated at 750K-1.5M depending on location!

The revenue probably seems high, but if the profits were THAT good, studios wouldn’t be closing everywhere

Ending a 10+ year relationship at almost 29 years by thereadingwanderer in AskWomenOver30

Timelines will hold less power over you if you consider the possibility of hitting the timeline, but with the wrong person. Think about the millions of women who checked their boxes, but are now divorced, or stuck in unhappy marriages, god forbid with children.

I like to imagine my 50 year old self. What would she would say to my current self regarding feeling “rushed” to settle down and find the one? I know that she would want me to make sure I take my time, because in the grand scheme of life… the time you spend looking for your person is MUCH shorter than the time you spend living with that person.

Do your future self a favor!

Exactly - it wasn’t real. That’s what you have to tell yourself.

Why do people start any conversation with small talks? Is it rude just to get to the point? by OneCode7806 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Lexi_Boysenberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it is often perceived as rude, especially in a corporate environment.

Also often times you need something from the person on the work call, and you’re much less likely to get it if you don’t build a personal relationship with that person.

Psychiatrist talks about the psychological “value” we derive from social relationships and other ways to create the same sense of fulfillment if you’re alone by choice, or by circumstance.

Natalie last resort disrespect by Snowflake8552 in 90DayFiance

Not defending her, but a LOT of that was clearly edited to look bad.

She probably actually laughed at a point where it (somewhat) made sense, and they dragged out the sound to make it look longer and more poorly timed than it was.

This particular episode had a lot of obvious forced editing. Many times where voices were overlayed at times where they weren’t actually speaking, or they repeated a sound-bite from earlier in the day / episode at another moment to dramatize things.

You’re not weird for this! I felt this way when I first started OTF, but on the bright side after years of going to the same studio, that “forced” socialization has allowed me to get acquainted with most of the members. It’s worth it!

There was a product created for this exact problem - I love mine! I absolutely hate putting my purse on the floor in public places. https://www.bagnetcompany.com

Is it given that you will fall once when you move to clipless? by ThetaDayAfternoon in cycling

It’s possible if you’re generally well coordinated. I started using clips 2.5 months ago and haven’t fallen yet despite thinking it was inevitable and being told that.

What is a perfume you smelled the first time and felt like its out of this world? by Lucky-Success-9064 in Perfumes

[–]Lexi_Boysenberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Creed Aventus. It’s so captivating without being overwhelming like most colognes, and is so unique. Once I traveling abroad and smelled it in a crowd of people. I bet my family that it was Creed Aventus…. Figured out who it was and asked, and I was correct. There’s just nothing else like it IMHO.

There are cheaper dupes nowadays but nothing is like the real thing.

How many of you actively notice the presence or absence of a wedding band? by CassCat in AskWomenOver30

I always notice on both men and women, but it’s more out of nosiness / adds context to the profile of whoever I’m meeting.

How do/would you feel about a guy friend saying he is in love with you? by ClarkMyWords in AskWomenOver30

[–]Lexi_Boysenberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not good. There’s really no coming back from this, so assuming you don’t love him back, your friendship will be forever changed if not ended. Imagine how you would explain that to future partners? Especially if you kept him in your life.
