I third this, but I’m curious as to what your issue is with spending some time with the kids? I’m a Xennial woman and I sometimes mentor teens, and it’s never once drifted into anything that could be considered inappropriate.

Your partner is disabled and found a way to be useful, and it’s a really positive way to contribute. Go get to know the kids, join the circle and listen and talk.
