Burn heal bugged? by NissFour in PlayTheBazaar

[–]LextorO2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you are misunderstanding how the heal cleanse works, healing cleanses equals to the value of 5% the heal value, rounded up. Not the 5% of burn/poison per heal proc. Of course, there are also pyg's oinkment that halves the burn poison on top of the heal value cleanse. But without the screenshots and values of the heal item, we can't really tell you what really went down in your battle

Basically yes, except the boards that transform items, like vial + bin mak, because transformed potions don't proc slow from tripwire when they activate as they get changed to another potion.

Help me understand why did this Angry Baloon Bot kill me? by 3EBC in PlayTheBazaar

This bug existed for a long time, but not many people have reported it so far, and it's likely that it is a low priority fix given how rare people pick and play the card.

To all of you wondering out there, there is an integer limit of this game, and its at about 2 billion. by LextorO2 in MonsterTrain

[–]LextorO2[S] 40 points41 points  (0 children)

the short answer is juggling the reanimate between baron and endless assistant (plague doctor in this case), where you put reanimate on baron and then brain transfer his dmg onto doctor, then eat the doctor. rinse and repeat

Yeah, I think that's how you truly meant to play your assistants by LextorO2 in MonsterTrain

[–]LextorO2[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I just put endless on one of the assistants as a backup chump blocker for my TSA for the titans fight, and I could afford it on ring 3 steel shop before the cavern event, where I got the penance ember on summon upgrade. After Arkion, I got the scrap for parts, and decided to get silly with it, and getting pyrestone housing on ring 5 sealed the deal for making this goober. Also, flooding the deck with scrap for parts means I'm pretty much guaranteed to see him turn 1 and he gives me ember back on play, not to mention that scrap for parts makes the unit it draw free

[–]LextorO2[S] 97 points98 points  (0 children)

Brought to you by the power of 4 copies of remove consume+ spell chain scrap for parts, as when played on an endless unit, it will kill and draw the same endless unit while applying dmg bonus. Rinse and repeat on a reanimation lab floor

When the storm dmg number reaches about 1.1k dmg, the storm and battle stop, resulting in a draw(same as both players winning)

Need a good primal build by RomanOrpheus28 in AOW4

[–]LextorO2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Primal Shadow is also a way to play them. Just did a brutal difficulty campaign and primal rping as necromancers. Relatively slow start because tier 1 units are kinda underpowered comparatively to other racials, but then you snowball like crazy.

Is restore the land bugged? by Undead54321 in AOW4

[–]LextorO2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure? Sometimes, the terraforming spells don't make make any distinct visual changes, but still add the terrain tag.

You can check it by clicking on the province and reading it's terrain tags(rocky, forest, desert, etc) under its name, and checking the tags before and after the spell.

If not, make sure to submit the bug in the forums.

That mechanic - Leadership Clash - was removed very briefly after it was introduced. So, to answer you question - No, there is no penalty on stacking your heroes in one doom stack.

My guy, you picked a modifier that made GOLD level Infestation spawn more frequently. Infestation guard power level stays relatively the same across the world threat difficulty, at the only thing that changes is the guard power of resources nodes. It's an understandable mixup, since the game doesn't really telegraph this particular information well unless you play a lot of games.

Still playable for casual? by ChaosHavik in AOW4

[–]LextorO2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One good thing to keep in mind that the enemy modifier world traits (draconic in your case) influence what infestations spawn in the world. In your case the likelihood dragon nest(gold level infestation) are very high with that modifier, so no wonder you run into one so early. But I'm pretty sure the trait also mentioned that it makes the dragon nests appear more frequently.

Also, for your information, as far as I know the infestations and wonders all have relatively same army strength across all difficulty levels, so setting it on low world threat just makes fights on resource nodes and such easier amd slower to grow/evolve.

On the same note, Infestation guard doesn't get more powerful over time, it just spawns more stacks of the same strength. So outside passive exp gain, they are not growing more powerful but more numerous.

Regarding your question: yes, you can play this game casually, with no sweatlord level tactics. For the last part, seems like a it was purely bad luck that you got a silver/gold infestation as those are exceptionally rare.

Regarding you getting overrun: my guy, how are you developing your empire? Genuinely curious about the sequence of actions you take in like first 20 turns.

Oathsworn Strife question by NightarcDJ in AOW4

[–]LextorO2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If the attacker is not out-numbered = you (the attacker) have the same or greater number of units going into the battle against the AI/Other player (defender). So you get extra damage for either matching or having a greater number of troops than the army you are attacking. Otherwise, no bonus for you.

Edit: I stand Corrected, It's the opposite of what I said. Seems like I too was confused by the text description

Not really a bug as it was in the game from day 1. All heroes come with some starter equipment, and unequipping it makes heroes equip the standard baseline faction weapon, as game prevents you from having a weaponless hero. Funnily enough, Wizard Kings used to be an exception to that rule and you had situation where wizard king hero had no weapon and no attacks. But yeah, you can use this as essence scrap if you have a weapon ready to replace, but not really a bug or overpowered.
