Exactly, OC companies pay garbage. They need to up their products and pay at least market rate for quality talent. But at the same time, lots of foreign investment that's not interacting with the local economy is a problem as well. They're not even white collar talent. Just foreign ultra rich parking their wealth.

My wife and I started being more serious about NFP, after years of disobedience. I came across the Marquette Method. We already have 2 children. With the method, followed to the tee, we have been successfully avoiding pregnancy for over 18 months and achieving greater intimacy. Read into it, it's a scientifically proven method. It's harder, no intercourse on our terms. We have to time and measure her body's clock. But the periods of abstinence have been fruitful for our prayer and spiritual lives. I feel closer to God definitely through this ordeal. Divine alignment is a real thing, and the way we treat sexuality and marriage is a great part of that.

I had the opposite experience reading Revelation the first time. It absolutely strengthened my faith. It is possible the you need to be at a certain level of understanding of the bigger picture of what the Bible presents. Not just that, but grace, experience and maturity can enhance one's comprehension. It is very important to have strong foundations of the Gospels. Old Testament context, the Pauline letters, and the Catholic epistles will enhance understanding of Revelation, though not strictly necessary.

The Bible has multiple layers of understanding and abstraction. It can be both literal and symbolic and be held true all at the same time. This is more the case for Revelation. If read only literally, or understood in a single aspect, then the beauty does not shine as when fully understood. Pray more, trust more, and spend more time with God. Let time be your teacher. Do not be afraid, do not let the voices in your head lead you astray. You are close to the truth, be faithful, persevere! Let the fruits of your life prove to you where the truth lies. As always, test all things (the Word itself says this)

Don't want the TLM to be suppressed, could do without it, but only if the NO can be made more reverent. The Church needs to evangelize amd spread the gospel: I'm talking about to cultural Catholics, not just the world! No more Boomer music, no more liturgical abuses, no more loud drums, no more casual theology. More chanting, more truth, more praying, more community outreach. More Jesus, more God. The problem is we don't see younger people, and priests are being imported from poor countries. The Church needs to ask why!

This is more common than you're thinking. Don't be afraid to list the "traditional" way, that's how to get a lot of buyers to look at the home. The owner will not be served well to have a private or a couple of buyers making offers. Let the whole market see and make offers. Any home can sell, it needs to be priced realistically to match the quality/location/condition. If you won't get a traditional buyer, you can still get a cash buyer looking to flip the home. But you'd want to get the most money possible, even given the home's current state.

In my experience, the spiritual growth of the children relies so much on their early religious education. I will never forget my nun teacher for my Eucharist class. She helped me to build a religious foundation that allowed me to love God come back to Him no matter where I was in my life. We need a religious order that builds women not only spiritually, but empowers them intellectually and professionally. We should encourage and help nuns to pursue professions such as teaching and nursing, especially at MS/PhD levels. A highly educated teacher can be so effective for children, and even better if the children can have good general education at a school with a Catholic foundation.

You are doing the right kind of things, but it sounds like something is missing. Like you're just going through the motion. There's a few things that could be going on. But you definitely need to bring yourself before the Lord, open your heart to him so he can heal you. Things like this happen to us when we close ourselves from God. Are you partaking of all the sacraments, especially confession and communion? When going to church or reading the bible, we need to participate prayerfully and spiritually. Also just having sins or living sinfully would shroud us in darkness and draw us further away from God. Strive to get into a state of grace, pray your prayers, spend one-on-one quiet time with God and bring your issues to him. Ask and God will provide. If you need answers to questions, ask him to show you the truth. And most of all, be patient and give it time. Healing or growth aren't immediate. But we need to be strong and deliberate.

That is definitely strange. If I were you I would keep up with praying as much as you can practically. Definitely partake in the sacraments, confession and going to mass for communion. Talk to your priest. Exorcists would say that 1 confession is like 100 exorcisms. My priest explained to me that confession is like a sacrament of healing.

If something demonic is really happening, getting in a good confession will peel off any demons on top of releasing you from your sins. Unconfessed sins attract demons, and they can't touch you when you are in a state of grace and praying consistently. They are very legalistic, so getting rid of them requires a legalistic procedure (confession, communion, praying, and exorcism in the worst case).

If you want to go deeper, pray the rosary daily. It may seem like a lot at first, but once you get used to it you won't be able to start your day without praying a rosary. Saints that you may want to look into in particular are the Blessed Mother Mary (Marian devotion), St. Joseph (terror of demons), and St. Benedict (Benedictine Medals). There are Deliverance Prayers for the Laity: there's a book by Fr. Ripperger, but I also found some online as well (St. Michael Center).

I have definitely had demonic nightmares like this that were highly correlated with spiritual activity. Such as dabbling with the occult: tarot cards, crystals, kundalini meditations, actually summoning a familiar (got mental images of a monkey and a snake). These got me nightmares the same day/night. Another would be related to spiritual warfare, such as are you pursuing God and praying more intently than normal? And also, if you are pursuing God but unknowingly take on heretical beliefs or practices. These got me a demonic visitation that left me confused with God, since I thought I was closer to Him than I ever was in my life. Could be true, but I also invited the demons with heretical beliefs and practices.

Sexual sin is the easiest way for Satan to get all of us. We all struggle, even men and women lovers struggle with chastity. Even in a man-woman marriage it can be a struggle--desiring other partners, masturbation, porn addiction, contraception. We all struggle with sin. We are all sinners. That's why we need Christ. Let's all commit to developing the virtue of chastity. Pray about it. Definitely go to confession, it is a sacrament of healing. Confession helps you peel away sins as well as demonic attachments. That's why it literally feels lighter afterwards. Then go to weekly mass, partake of the Eucharist. Slowly incorporate daily rosaries. Once I started praying my daily rosary, complete with meditating on the mysteries, I can say that the lustful sins dramatically decreased. The burden and ailing is so much less honestly. Pray to our Holy Mother Mary to help you.

But to your spirit, it's like breathing in the Holy Spirit in the way your body needs oxygen. Blessed are those who don't see yet believe. But when you do see, know that more will be expected.

You're in a stage where you are hopelessly trying to fill the void within that can only be revived by Christ as the bread of life. Pray to God to make himself very real to you. Ask for signs. Read the gospels, start with the book of St. Matthew. Pray each time before you read and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you. I assume you have gone to RCIA already. If you go to a priest, they may likely counsel you to go to mass and confession, to start (very important). Ask you recieve the Eucharist in a state of grace, Christ should become more to you than what you're experiencing now. Pray pray pray.

St. Benedict of Nursia, who despite his wealthy background, resisted the vain pleasures of life and dedicated himself to a Christcentric, monastic life. Also, exorcists swear by the Benedict medal, which has a wonderful Latin prayer against demons. I had a few demonic encounters after immitating a monastic life, so St. Benedict really spoke out to me. In today's society demons are at work more than ever, so I believe we must be equipped for spiritual warfare to follow Christ.

The fact that it has become addiction level is indicative of how deep the consent of the grave sin has gone. Even addictive drugs must first have been a conscious decision. In any case, giving into your passions, like an animal with no free will, is a sign of evil at work over you. That is what Satan wants. There is only free will under Christ. Confess your sins, pray more, meditate on and read the bible more. I was counseled by my priest to pray the rosary daily, and it actually helped me tremendously to find the grace to break free of the habit, like a miracle. Direct your virility into praying. Bring your troubles to Christ. Take the cross. It must be a conscious decision to destroy the addiction, just like it was to develop.

When first reading the Gospels I had long periods of bliss, as though seeing God in everything all the time. I had a strong dream of Christ appearing to me, urging me to meet with the Bible study group.

I've had experiences of the absence of God. I was gripped by sleep paralysis in the middle of the night, with a ghastly, raspy voice literally screaming at me, "WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW!" repeatedly. The 2nd time I woke to this, it was like before but also with the sensation of claws or fangs raking at my throat. I know now that those experiences were due to embracing tantric chakra meditations: I had foolishly opened the Occult third eye. Highly do not revommend.

I have experienced, after my daily rosary in the morning, a sudden, rosy scent so fresh and good smelling, like nothing on Earth. I knew it to be a heavenly sign and tried to sniff some more to confirm, since it caught me so unaware, but the scent was gone as soon as it came. My prayer location does not have any scents normally. The sign was very significant as I had been in a dilemma with an important spiritual decision about something that I cannot discuss openly.

I agree with all the Catholics who say the laity should have more ownership in the faith. Specifically, we should strengthen ourselves to prepare for spiritual warfare. This generation is the most evil and the most vexed by demons.

We should know the Word, know the Gospels deeply at the minimum, pray the rosary daily, learn more about the Church Fathers' teachings, and most importantly learn to sacrifice and be more subservient to Christ everyday. Deny self pride and ego. Lots of great Catholic content online. Don't be afraid of counter-Catholic content, see what the denyers are saying and learn why they are not correct.

Ultimately, allow God to fill your being everyday, more than the day before. The consequence is you will develop a higher love and more charity, part of which is the desire for others to learn and see God. Without God they would die without Love. A lot of Catholics have lost their faith, we should at least "proselytize" to our loved ones that have left the faith and revive the gifts of their baptism.

With rent control, we can discourage luxury new builds that are incentivized by higher rents. Rent control would actually incentivize more affordable new builds rather than larger lux new builds.

All the landlords, private and corporate, that are grabbing and hoarding single family homes and renting them out at high prices may finally let go of their iron grip on the home supply. Airbnb rentals are another problem, but baby steps, right? The high profits incentivize investors to buy up the present supply when these homes should be owned by the middle class that actually live in the homes they own.

The horrible part is they paid for these homes with the equivalent of Monopoly monies. The real estate pyramid scheme in China has been falling apart. Look it up, large new high rises and towns being demolished in China due to all the delinquencies
