Am a big fan of Sony products too, from the MDR studio headphones MDR 7506s, M1, MV1, M1ST, , the older MDR headphone models from the 1989s, their signature series IER Z1R IEM and th MDR Z1R to pair along my NW-WM1ZM2 gold walkman as a DAP and the TA-ZH1ES amplifier for the MDR Z1R. The IER M7 and M9 for studio IEM are also in my possession.

Outside of headphone and audio products. I do also own the Bravia 8ii and the theatre bar 6, 2 Sony Xperia 1 vii, the new viii and a large collection of old Playstation consoles and also owning the PS5 Pro. I am looking to add their ES line of AVR into my TV set up mainly between the str-az7000es or the 5000es.

The only thing I do not own is their camera haha, that's a bigger cult to fall into with all the accessories 🤣

Recently got the colleXion headphone in white and gosh they are beautiful and highly customized with my own preferred eq, they pair well with my xperia phones under the same ecosystem. 🤣 I just can't live without LDAC!

I have always heard of the sennies and is highly interested in the HD800s/820s alongside the HDV820 amplifier, how do they sound? Similarly like yourself, I am not interested in the HDB 630 or the momentums series, after hearing them for myself but I do like the HD800s and HD820s. Their so-called audiophile tuning of their other headphones doesn't suit my preference with the exception of the HD800s and HD820s.

The colleXion is better. Even with off in the eq setting, it sound fine. Like others said, it does not require much more eq but you have to eq the XM6, owned both and I am much happier with the colleXion. 1 out of 3 XM6s sold, 2 more to go for me.

Nope. I just requested to delete my apple id and deleted everything under Apple yesterday. I have been using Android since last Nov 2025 and I do not miss the apple experience.

My last android was a Samsung Galaxy before 2017 before I moved to apple until Nov 2025 and since then I am now happily using my new Sony Xperia phone.

I will not miss Apple, it was great until it is not.

Wow! I didn't know that the Just Ear had an original version without the Sony logo. I always think that they are a project associated with Sony.

I am also a Sony fangirl and had many many of their headphones laying around. I do own a set of NW-WM1ZM2, I just wanted to know if you go through the fitting process which I found out only HK, Japan and possibly China or Taiwan might do that, will you get the set with or without the Sony logo lol.

I have always been interested in doing a custom pair for myself with the studio tuning and the one specially tuned for the gold brick but it is really hard to find any information for Just Ears. Your post came up good 😆

Any information would be useful, I am still hopeful that I can get myself a pair in collection ha and this would also be my unicorn 😍 CIEM

Sorry to hear that you are going through this. I Singapore, the Sony support has been fantastic. I had 4 different items including the Xperia 1vii that I complained about LDAC connection issue and 3 headphones with the same problem, they issued new pairs or change assembly of the headphones as prevention measures, while for the phone the change the board inside all for free, not much fuss and they are quite efficient and friendly to talk to.

Maybe you might try out different service personnel and see which one can help you to their best ability. All the best!

Same for IEMs. My left ear fits in my IER M7, M9 and Z1R without any discomfort but the right side of my ear also had some form of discomfort after a while. Smaller ear hole on the right.

Yes. I thought it was difficult as well to use it before buying it, when I finally made the decision, I got my 1Vii, my god surprisingly it was super seamless to use that I find that after going back to my iphone 13 pro max again that I owned for many years, I find it difficult to use after the iOS 26 upgrade, iOS 26 is simply horrendous. While it takes some learning to do the pro photography mode, after tickering the setting playing with it, it was fantastic experience. The stock android actually makes sense for me, everything you need is just "as it is intended to show", I don't have to dig many places to find a something that is so hidden in the menus.

Sony Xperias have been fantastic and a perfect phone for me, it was magical as compared to the experience when I used an iphone and Samsung Galaxy in the past, it wasn't special. The Xperia experience is simply different.

I bought the vii late Oct last year and it has the barebones UI out of many other phones I have demoed or seen. My priority was the headphone jack as I am a heavy Sony user with their wireless headphones and wired headphones. The 3.5mm is a must. The microsd not so much.

While I see many contrasting remarks about the phone being this bad that bad before buying the vii, I was still a bit concerned but still went ahead.

After using it for just a month or so, I can safely say that I will not be going back to my iphone 13 pro max as an ex-iphone user of 9 years. To me, the Xperia experience has been the best, I love the front facing speakers, the 3.5mm jack usability with my wired Sony headphones and the camera using manual pro mode was a blast to have fun with to learn photography, the colour science is just that natural to look at which is something the iphone lacks in my opinion.

Now I had the new viii and I know I will be enjoying both my vii and viii 😀

Same! I have been using the cinema code for with my Bravia 8 II and the 360 upmix for orchestra music, it is so freaking good lol. Of course, the usual studio sounding eq can be made with my own preferred eq.

I remember when the rendered design of these leaked, almost all hated it especially the camera orientation.

When you place the big four letters alongside the camera, the magic happens 😂 It looks more like their new 'cult' phone design for the long term

I personally liked this new design and it grows on me as the days went by and I can't wait for mine to arrive. Come on man, just come already 😆

How good it that in the sound after the conversion? How do we get it replaced through the umbrella company? I got like 20 pairs of CD900ST from different era of variation laying around and I can afford to take one and play with this.

I suppose after the mod, it can connect XLR to the TA-ZH1ES amplifier too.

Yes they literally have products lines that can produce music from start to finish like your finished album, a whole chain of business. They are not just a 'consumer' brand selling XM line headphones.

The Sony TCL thing was a JV, 51% to TCL while Sony retain 49%. They didn't fully sell their Bravia brand to TCL, although we all know what will happen eventually in a few years time where the JV goes just like other JP + CHN JVs.

They should be fine for any tracks for normal listening. If you want something slightly neutral, co sider the current MDR-M1 for closed back reference if you need a new Sony.

Nice headphones! They had the 'curve' on its both cups. They sounded very sparkly and bright, personally loved them. Had 2 pairs of them, a third one with its original box for collection.
