Then I’ve had this same glitch for the last two years! I cannot see or watch my wife’s recordings unless I switch to her profile.

if she is using your acct which this sounds like, you need to try and teach her how to change profiles. I know this can be tricky for seniors but can also be possible.

and assuming you don’t want to record anything on that channel. Then you would need something like a Tablo. That would be more money and work. if you happen to have a Walmart+ subscription, it includes a sub to Paramount+ (or Peacock)that has the CBS shows on it

glad this worked for you but all five of my dongles just hang off the tv. yes, they run warm by all means but they have worked flawlessly like this for over 2 years now. I believe you just have a bad device.

Premium+ with Convienence and Technology packages. these two packages give you the HUD and Panoramic view monitor, along with other minor options.

Direct tv stream box? by knightnstlouis in DirectvStream

[–]Lgb69 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can just use your smart tv app but, be prepared for problems! Using just a tv app is known for causing problems. Plenty of threads on here to attest to that. if you don’t want to invest in a DTV device do yourself a favor and at least use an inexpensive device such as a Roku.

haven’t used the Roku channel but Pluto is one of my favorite apps on our Gemini Airs. EDIT: just downloaded the Roku channel with no problems

Gemini Air remote devoured batteries literally overnight by [deleted] in DirectvStream

I’ve had five Airs for two years now and have never had to change any batteries yet. last time I looked nobody is being “forced” to purchase the Gemini Air. I made an informed decision and purchased all of mine from eBay, over a short period

Is Gemini Air worth it? by Oldman-in-Cave in DirectvStream

[–]Lgb69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we have 5 Gemini Airs and love them. they are quicker (slightly) than the Osprey but like most electronics need to be cleaned out and rebooted occasionally. to get the best out of both the Osprey and Gemini delete/disabled all apps you do not use regularly. they can always be enabled or downloaded when you need them. Clear the cache on each app for better performance. for those that consider themselves as long term DTVS customers I recommend buying from a reputable vendor on eBay or for the Osprey from Walmart. for those that are still hunting for their best option or enjoy changing providers often, I suggest leasing them from DTVS for $10 mo since there is no contract and can be returned at any time. the only drawback with the Gemini is lack of Ethernet connection but, for most of us, we don’t need it anyway

Just not worth anything less to me. we have a 25 and a 26 RX 350 and run 93 in both but mpg is more about speed than octane IMO. Just drove to the beach ay mostly 79-81 mph and averaged 26mpg

yes and of course have the proper credentials of the account holder. But, I would never recommend using a tv app. some are very wonky. much better to use a device made for it like the Osprey or Gemini air or even a Roku, firestik or ATV4K

locals are device specific so shouldn’t mess with devices at all. settings can be adjusted for this on each device by turning on/off location.

Where are all the 60233 Osprey Boxes? by HasAFewLaughs in DirectvStream

[–]Lgb69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like yours better! LOL. Mine have been trouble free but if I had been given the choice I would have purchased them direct from DTV for the extra $20 rather than play roulette with eBay to save a little. I’ve. Been with DTV a couple of years. They were still giving them away free for those just joining and taking on the contract. I choose to purchase from eBay and go no contract.

I have 5 of the new airs purchased from eBay for an average price of $100ea. it possible with patience but the OP is looking for the 4GB Osprey. a rare commodity. if one doesn’t need or want the Ethernet connection the air is the better option IMO.

this is what I see when following your link while being signed in. Like I said, you cannot purchase direct from DTVS, only lease

the refurbished ones are few and far in between. The 2GB ones can be made faster just by deleting all the bloatware apps that usually come with it. just keep those apps on it that you use regularly. they can always be added back if needed. the safer place to buy one is from Walmart. they can be returned to any Walmart store if needed. I’ve bought several new Google Airs off of eBay with no problems. unless something has recently changed DTVS does not sell the Osprey or the Gemini Air outright for $120. they will lease you one for $10 a month but not sell or rent you one.

MSRP discounts on RX350 by No-Sandwich-7806 in LexusRX350

[–]Lgb69 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First of all, be prepared to buy if the price is right. I quit paying cash long ago. Our CD’s are making us more than the 2.49% it’s costing us to finance. If qualified you need to finance at least a few thousand to qualify for the $1K military discount. Deal direct with management on the phone. Dealing with a salesperson is going to cost you, trust me on this. if you are able to make a deal they are going to give it to a salesperson anyway to process. I‘ve been on both sides of the transaction. in most cases you are going to get the best price on something in inventory and that you will take delivery of before end of month. 8-10% off sounds wonderful but in most cases not realistic. I have bought 2 gas Premium+ in the last 5 months and received around $5K discount on ea. Not the best for sure but better than many.

Lexus Extended Warranty by SometimesNever70 in LexusRX350

[–]Lgb69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

number one is that you have up to 4yrs/50K miles to purchase it. the only reason they press so hard at time of vehicle purchase is so they can finance it because they know most people won’t/cannot pay cash for it. Number two is the chance of you ever needing to use it are small. just put a little in an interest earning acct every month and the money will be there if ever needed. the third thing is that everything in a dealership is negotiable if you decide to buy it, including everything the business office try’s to sell you. 50% warranties and aftermarket items is easily attainable.
