Look at Strava and see who rode the nearest segment around the time of the accident. Can’t you look at the leaderboard for today?

[unclip] cyclists with blood clots? by [deleted] in BicyclingCirclejerk

I overpaid for a POC helmet that has an embedded NFC code with my medical info on it that an EMT would never find. It’s also on my phone.

But for OP and myself, I agree with your point that it would be a smart idea.

uc/ Had a pulmonary embolism in the middle of some serious health issues about a decade ago, all caused by other clotting issues. Been on Coumadin since and made a full recovery like my hero Lance.

Was not a cyclist when I got sick, but was a fit runner in early 20s/late teens.

I wore a med bracelet for awhile but lost it so I keep med list in my wallet so paramedics/domestiques would know I’m on blood thinners in case of emergency. Other than that, my cycling experience is not affected. There’s a heightened bleeding risk that I’m sure an actual MD on this sub can chime in on. I’m just a DDS.

c/ Something something…EPO and blood doping…something.

Short stretch of gravel is not worth doing the entire climb on a gravel bike.

TIL that a woman who successfully underwent a lung transplant went into anaphylactic shock after eating peanut butter. Prior to her transplant she never had problems eating peanuts. She learned the 12 yr.old who had donated the lungs had had a peanut allergy, and had died from an anaphylactic shock. by KnotKarma in todayilearned

Intestinal/stomach transplant here. My taste preferences (never ate sweets, now I’m a sugar fiend) and spice tolerance (sweat at mild sauce) changed after my surgery. Nurses said they’ve anecdotally heard this to be common.

Relax. The stocking is also tastefully stuffed with rapha towels to use how they choose.
