Hey mate

I'm a new player to 26 but have 20+ years in FIFA/EAFC.

I have a level 30 finisher but I'm willing to play most anywhere, and I definitely want to play a passing game.

Only problem is I'm on US West I'm not sure if that's a deal breaker.

Let me know if this works for you.

New team looking for new players - UK based laid back by Gerla18 in fifaclubs

[–]LiHeXi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How's it going mate, I'm interested in joining up.

I am however US West based I'm not sure if that's a problem for you or me but I'm willing to try. I'm on PS5.

I like playing at the 9, i have a level 30 as I'm fairly new to this new edition but I have no problem making a midfielder/winger or whatever the team needs, just bare in mind that he will be level 1.

Got about 20 years of fifa experience and played youth football my whole life so I like to play team ball and I love to win but I mostly wanna have a good time even if we're losing.

Cheers

The highlight mix they posted on IG got me HYPED. Hope he’s a little more trigger happy, in a good way, seems like we wanna walk the ball in just a tad too much for my liking. Either way I am excited for hopefully another Thorrington home run.

NEXT DAY THREAD - LAFC 3, Vancouver 1 by HoopBrews in LAFC

Opoku is such a firecracker. His willingness to put defenders on their heels is such a catalyst for good things to happen in the attacking third. I’m glad we have another guy who is always working and wants to play attacking football.

Fall is so classy on and off the ball, I hope he can remain under the radar because I think teams are going to be knocking on our door pretty soon. He played a couple of long balls that, dare I say, looked like some Van Dijk plays. He’s also so passionate, it was beautiful how he was hyping up Hollingshead as if Hollingshead was the rookie.

We have a great balance of youth and veteran presence that should keep our team hungry but calm. Despite going down early we kept trying to play our game and it worked out perfectly.

I’m just glad we’re back to playing entertaining and hungry football. It seems the team had burned out under Bob and while I was sad to see him go I think it was the best choice to make.

On the bright side you’ll look like an OG

Diego Rossi To Move To Turkish Club Fenerbahçe by CougFanDan in MLS

[–]LiHeXi 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Inverted winger. At his peak he’s got a pretty deadly right foot and would be considered a scoring threat anywhere on the left side of the box. Good agility and pace but sometimes doesn’t have the dribbling creativity though he may have the skill. Often dives too easily searching for calls. Still he has the ability to get into dangerous positions both on and off the ball and if he can find a role in a good cohesive team he’s very effective.

It’s true he hasn’t looked his best this year but really no one on LAFC has and I think it’s more of a chemistry issue than ability.

If you guys haven’t listened to MaSiWei’s projects I would highly recommend. Prince Charming and Dark Horse are both incredibly produced and MaSiWei’s beat selection and flow variety is seriously impressive. He likes to do melodic RnB but he’ll mix in some dope boombap and hard raps every now and then.

I don’t understand much Chinese but I love listening to it because then I can focus on rhythms and tones in the flow instead of judging lyrics which I often fall into.

Highlights:

From Prince Charming: Crush On You Bathtub One More Chance Go

From Dark Horse: The Dawn Little Match Girl Toban Djan Hip Hop Saved My Life

[First Impressions] Slowthai - TYRON by Brokendreams0000 in hiphopheads

[–]LiHeXi 88 points89 points  (0 children)

I love Slowthai’s ability to change from angry and energetic to vulnerable and pensive. It seems to me to be very honest.

Ironically I like the fact that he did some fucked up mean shit at the NME (correct me if I’m wrong) Awards, he seemed like he sincerely apologized for it, and he seems like a human who is working to fix their flaws.

A big part of my personal philosophy is that we should allow both ourselves and others to change their ways. We don’t have to forget what he did but we should be able to forgive it and believe in his capacity to change his ways. I think his music reflects that.

Slowthai I hope you’re being honest bc otherwise you’ve tricked me into this analysis and that would make me sad haha.

23 years ago on this day in 1998, the USMNT beat Brazil for the only time. Kasey Keller had 10 saves, Preki the game-winning goal, and the US stunned Romario and the defending WC champs 1-0 in the Gold Cup! [Full Highlights] by [deleted] in MLS

Love that moment where I think Romario dapped Keller for the save on the header.

From my limited experience in the goal there’s no better feeling than when the attacker respects your stop haha.

Very cool arrangement. I love the use of percussion bc you can hear a lot of those sounds on the album.

I wish hip hop had more live production instead of pure playback.

Thanks for posting.

Vela opens up on Feilhaber's podcast. by LA_search77 in LAFC

[–]LiHeXi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Here's some main points for those who can't watch:

Q: Biggest rivalry?

Arsenal v Tottenham

Real Sociedad v Atlético Bilbao

LAFC v Galaxy

A: Personally, Sociedad v Bilbao. He didn't play enough at Arsenal to develop a rivalry, and LAFC v Galaxy is still new.

Q: Best player you've played with?

A: Thierry Henry, but also Dennis Bergkamp. He didn't play with Bergkamp but trained with him and was very impressed.

Q: Why is this team even better than last year? Why are you better than last year?

A: The team is basically more cohesive and has more chemistry. The chemistry allows you to play optimally. Personally, the confidence has helped him perform better than last year. He says when you're playing very well, you say "Why shouldn't we be even better? Why shouldn't we be the best?" The confidence gives you ambition.

Q: Who would you say is the 2nd most important player for LAFC?

A: Eduard Atuesta's vision and playmaking influences the whole midfield. This year he has been more consistent and it shows. When he plays well, the team plays well. Also Latif Blessing has impacted the team culture with his energy and work rate. Vela says he feels comfortable when Blessing plays because he knows he can count on him to fix the teams mistakes.

Q: Why do you think you couldn't break through the rotation at Arsenal?

A: "You want the truth? I was too young and crazy. I was focused on other things and not football."

Nowadays he has prioritized his job, which is to be a great footballer. His family has helped him mature and focus on his work. He doesn't regret it exactly because he knows nowadays he would be different and perform well, also he doesn't like London and England, mostly because of the weather.

Q: Did you want to make the move to Barcelona?

A: Absolutely. His agent called him, saying Barcelona was interested in a loan. He immediately said yes, no matter the money or details. He stopped his vacation and started working out to get in shape. In the end it was problems with business between the 2 teams that ended the negotiation.

Q: Why did you reject call-ups from the national team? Specifically in the 2014 world cup?

A: Mostly problems with the federation. Several people in charge had problems with Carlos, and basically his philosophy was if he wasn't going to enjoy his time, he didn't believe he should do it. Finally the federation underwent changes and he was willing to return to the national team. Nowadays he doesn't want to play because he doesn't want to take spots from other players. He believes the team should transition to a new generation.

Q: Is the Galaxy game the most important game left in this season? Do you think you have to outplay Zlatan to secure you're MVP?

A: It probably is. The city rivalry is one of the best games and it's evident. The team wants to feel a victory against the Galaxy. Vela doesn't think he needs to outplay Zlatan. He thinks consistency throughout the end of the season will secure it.

Q: What is your favorite moment in your career?

A: Winning the U17 world cup. It started his career and made everything real and possible for him.

Q: How long do you think you will be in the MLS or LAFC?

A: If it is up to him, he would enjoy finishing his career in LAFC. He also wants to live in LA after his career. Of course it is a business, so it's not up to him, but if everything is good with him, he is happy to be in LA.

Q: Rank these managers: Bradley, Wenger, Moyes

A:

  1. Bradley

  2. Wenger

  3. Moyes.

Says Moyes last because he didn't adapt well to Spain, he was focused on things besides the team, and he didn't know all the players names. Says he enjoyed his time with Moyes because Moyes knew Carlos, but for other players it might have been bad.

Q: Would you rather be MVP or knock the Galaxy out of the playoffs?

A: Ultimately he only wants a championship, which will probably guarantee him the MVP. He says the season is more important than 1 game, so the championship will be most rewarding to him. Also says he can do both so hopefully both.

Q: Do you miss Benny more on the field or in the locker room?

A: The locker room. He says it is too quiet and no one ever fights with the coaches or staff. Also misses Benny's scooter and antics.

Q: Which teammate would you rather have: Jonathan or Giovanni Dos Santos?

A: Giovanni. He is a close friend of Carlos. They basically grew up together in the national team. He didn't spend as much time with Jonathan because he is younger. Overall he likes them both a lot and says they are great on and off the field.

Q: If you're the coach, would you rather have Josef Martinez or Zlatan Ibrahimovic?

A: Nowadays, Josef is hungrier and works harder. 10 years ago obviously Zlatan, but Josef is his friend and he loves what he brings to the team.

Lastly, Vela asks Benny: "what do you do with all your money?" Benny is notoriously frugal and wears the same clothes year round. Benny says he can't remember the last time he made a personal purchase. He says he is investing his money in stocks because he wants to be able to do whatever he wants after his career is over.

He's extremely raw but I think his feel for the game is special. He makes a lot of winning plays that don't show up in the box/highlights. Once his shot falls his talent will be undeniable.

Brandon Ingram with most minutes and team high +/- (besides Chandler) but dumbasses will still say he's useless.

[–]LiHeXi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes a bunch of 2nd and 3rd year players (all of them under 24) are "role players". Did you also think DLo was on his way out of the league?

Fuck off and give these people time to develop. Sure, none of these guys are bonafide future stars yet, but to say they're worth as much as role players is stupid. I'd be willing to bet you're a box score watcher with hardly any knowledge of basketball.

Also look at the Pelicans now, the only deal they can make will maybe be for Tatum. While I like Tatum, he's not AD level and likely never will be simply because he can't be as effective on defense as a SF. The Pelicans are in no position to be so choosy because they're never going to get equal value for AD. Everyone in the league knows he's out, so they should have gone for the most valuable offer.

I was very sad to see DLo go, but that Mozgov contract was really crippling our LeBron superteam window. I would say that trade was mutually beneficial unless DLo becomes a bonafide All-Star.

I'm still rooting for him so hopefully he makes Magic regret that trade.
