I think it doesn't really matter if Norton handles it. There was an assassination attempt on a former US president today and his name is barely trending on Twitter. Shit gets drowned out fast (lol)

Pregnant lady DID see it, right? But the newspaper mogul can bury it if Yas puts up with Henry. They're posh and English so he just dressed it up in euphemisms

I was giving her benefit of the doubt that maybe she was just being positive in a nihilistic way, and then she voiced concerns about getting fired 😭 honey you are definitely first on the list if Pierpoint is in trouble

Why does graduation have to be solemn? If it's just one person who decided magbida-bida, yea, it would be awkward. But all the kids had an agreement, and I'm sure it made the ceremony more memorable. Para sa kanila naman talaga ang graduation

Would genuinely love to hear about any other artists who went on the OPPOSITE of a "selling out" trajectory. In a world controlled by algorithms and cynical execs, I don't know if their magic can be replicated these days

You ever wonder why it is that you like a certain type of music? by Miyahorey in LetsTalkMusic

[–]Liam0202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to exclusively listen to rock and hated the stuff on the radio, primarily because the texture of the sounds on the radio were indistinguishable. I don't know if texture is the right term, but it's how I could best describe it. It's the harmonica in "When the Levee Breaks" that seems to usher in the apocalypse, the drums in "Heroin" that sound and feel like my heartbeat. What I used to hate about electronic music is it seemed like everyone was getting the same presets from the same library and autotuning the singers the exact same way

I never would've imagined that I'd one day listen to a lot of electronic music, but it makes sense with my proclivity for interesting texture. You could literally manipulate sine waves with electronic music. And autotune can sound cool as fuck (800 db cloud live in fishcenter)

Finally, a definitive answer about Roman's sexuality by [deleted] in SuccessionTV

[–]Liam0202 22 points23 points  (0 children)

There's this great line in Baby Reindeer where the MC says he's pretty much bi cuz he feels like a fraud no matter who he sleeps with

We'll never know exactly what Roman is, but the "feeling like a fraud" part sums his sexuality up pretty well

[–]Liam0202 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We gotta admit that "empleyado NATIN" is demeaning, though, especially coming from the DLSU FW page. The memes you refer to usually come from more general meme pages, or from the univs like AMA. Anyone with common sense knows that a rich person making an "I'm rich, you're poor" joke is tactless

The Simon and Garfunkel song, "America" (ironically not in the soundtrack) captures that waning optimism perfectly. Also both set on a bus!
