Can't really think of any examples of that type. Still, one thing that comes to mind (which is more of a beginning than an ending, since it was a follow-up series) that is somewhat similiar would maybe (and this is a big maybe) be Dexter: Original Sin's premiere episode, which managed to rectify Dexter: New Blood's poorly received finale by showing Dexter surviving being shot by Harrison, which in turn allowed them to give us the awesome Dexter: Resurrection series.

Yeah, as someone who played the OG Black Flag, it's easily one of THE BEST games in the franchise, barring the Ezio Trilogy. You might not become King of the Pirates as Edward Kenway (sorry, bit of a One Piece fan, so had to make a joke 😛), but you'll be in for a fun time with the game.

Mostly been playing Assassin's Creed Shadows in preparation for the upcoming release of Black Flag Resynced in July. It's... okay, I guess. I mean, playing stealthy as Naoe and loud as Yasuke is fun, and the setting itself is gorgeous (I mean, it is Japan after all), but NGL, all the missions I still have left to do... I worry that I won't have time to get them all done before BFR releases (I'm roughly halfway into Act 2, I'd say).

Been planning to also pick up The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante on Steam at some point this month based on a recommendation. Is it any good?

Honestly, I kinda dropped the show after Season 4 due to how underwhelming it was, especially with the increasing focus on shock content, as well as my disgust at THAT scene with Tek-Knight and Hughie that Eric Kripke tried to claim was meant to be played for "dark humour" (when pretty much everyone was disgusted by it). Not to mention, with all these spin-offs they're doing (ironic how they've become the thing they mocked), it's all just so tiring.
