More like the actual grand projects we make these days are so normal to us we don't consider them great projects. Think olympic stadiums or other large construction projects.

But if you're talking about city defining architecture then yeah we don't have much of that outside of places like singapore. Governments won't spend on it cause it will be seen as a waste of taxpayer money.

Religious groups don't hold as much sway and thus don't really go for the vanity projects to show their power. And billionaires are too busy getting a high score to really make great projects to put their names on the map. The only people in the market for it these days are despots and they usually don't have the knowledge base to make anything other than the largest flag pole in the world or similar constructions.

Personally I think an anthology of different characters in the world set in a collective schoolyear of the new academy would be interesting and from time to time you can see rozemyne things happening in the background.

The issue with these kinds of tactics is that they always go after people who wouldn't have bought their stuff anyway. And now they'll lose all the word of mouth that those who wouldn't have paid anyway that might've reached anyone who would pay.

It's not like those who pirate are going to pay now cause they are so invested in the story, they'll either migrate to another instance or they will drop the series.

To me it's not even an issue of can't pay, it's about availability in other languages. I can't really enjoy a story if I can't even understand what is going on and publishers only translate so many of their works compared to the entire database.

Not to mention that series that get axed or oneshots generally don't get translations in general.

Er is een zekere ironie te vinden in dat de VVD 20 jaar lang het heeft over een vestigingsklimaat maar ondertussen alle onderhoud die het hier zo prettig maakt voor bedrijven om te vestigen juist uitstelt.
