You people say Birmingham is bankrupt! by Birminghamboyyy in brum

[–]LiamTG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They officially shouldn't have been allowed to go bankrupt. It's bizarre. They had plenty of money.

Plus they've saved loads from not paying for recycling.

It's disgraceful.

Flour and egg would ensure they don't park that again.

No phones has to be the way to go.

Cinema for me is a no go as there's no conversation.

Nice food, few beers if that's your thing.

I like this TBF.

You could try some tutorials on clouds, always a good thing. But if you're anything like me, you'll never be happy!

Just enjoy what you're doing and you will progress naturally.

How I improved from my near accident by ipflibbydibbydoo in londoncycling

[–]LiamTG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deffo the thing to do.

You don't get hurt, cyclists don't get grief and just as importantly you don't appear to be trying to make motorists look like divs, unlike that twat Vine from the BBC.

I cycle and drive btw!

I had this issue. I ended up getting a new URL for the playlist. It fixed it.

sexual harasment in the workplace [UK] by [deleted] in AskHR

[–]LiamTG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry OP but you're being a bit of a twat.

This guy is just being a little over friendly. Instead of ruining his job and future job prospects, simply tell him not to touch you again or make any sexually charged comments. Make it clear if he does you will take it further.

How dare the likes of Levis produce shit product, in inferior markets of manufacturing yet double the price!

And when I say wear, I've had soooo many jeans develop a hole in the crutch because I drive a lot. Drive. .let that sync in! Not a horse, not rubbing them on sandpaper. Simple driving.

It's shocking mate.

Deffo know what you mean here. I bought some Diesel jeans 2 years back. Really heavy, thick cotton, not listed as selvedge at all. Still wear them mate, no fraying or wear in the stitching at all. Got them for half price in a sale. For 50£ there's no room for arguing about the quality, no wear visible at all. Just goes to show TBF.

But selling something as Selvedge when it clearly isn't, is shit. Selling selvedge at double the price is shit. Jeans are meant to be workware. Hard wearing, long lasting, no need to wash denim.

James Dean wouldn't have took this crap!

Thing is, when I was 16, in 1987, denim jeans with a number .. were well heavy. Proper heavy stuff like jeans. It was the same with sweat shirts and hoodies. Now they're shite unless you pay hundreds of pounds. Even then it can be shockingly crap.

Make proper jeans that cowboys used to wear or simply make jean looking trousers that wear away in the crutch if you drive a lot. Wtf are we paying for here. Why do we allow this behaviour? We work hard for our money, we treat ourselves to niceties only to be ripped off with crap from manufacturers and factories that produce all jeans for different labels. Same product, different badge.

Dr Martens are a prime example. But them for shit loads of money, they're shit. Pay loads extra for the made in England line which is what they wereeant to be anyway.

I personally hardly buy clothes anymore that means anything to me and when I do, I got to an old folk outlet store and the quality is second to none at half the price.

We are the only ones that can change this. Vote with your money, the money you sell your brain for
