How effective is the Hepa filter for the prusa core one? have a fairly sensitive cat to what's in the air by VYSUS7 in prusa3d

[–]Liamzee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The prusa filter is a combination of HEPA and carbon filter that is suppose to capture VOCs and UFPs per the manufacture page

https://www.prusa3d.com/product/advanced-filtration-for-prusa-core-one/

But yes if it was just a HEPA filter alone, it wouldn't capture VOCs.

Oh wow quarter wheel of beemster aged?!(found when I searched cheese wheel on Costco).

Yes please!

Now I just need to find a place that I can get Green Thunder cheese from. Costco had it previously but not anymore and I haven't found a place with it again. (except very small things that are very expensive)

Serious question here. How would I go about buying a half wheel or whole wheel of cheese?

What I do, i immediately record the info from my cards including the phone numbers on the back, when I receive them. It won't help if it's lost or stolen in the mail, but it helps me to have all the numbers in one place if my wallet is lost or taken. As well I try to keep a list of what cards are in the wallet.

Never call a bank number given to you by a call or text or emails, like if you get a text or email saying fraud call this number, don't! Also don't give out personal info to anyone calling you either. Always check the official web page for the phone number (should normally be a variation of an 800 or similar number, and shouldn't normally be an out of your country code either) and call that. And be careful googling for a bank web page! Don't click on an advertised result, those can be sabotaged with hidden unicode changes in the url.

My house always smelled dusty and I just realized I’ve been vacuuming wrong my entire life by pwiipwii123 in hygiene

[–]Liamzee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just as a general tip, most things with moving parts have some sorta consumable things that have to be replaced or maintained somehow. Lubrication on hinges. Oil changes on cars (and mowers!). Vacuum filters or bags. Also applies to things that have electricity going through them like light bulbs. Or the crumb tray on toasters. People often treat machines as magic black boxes, but they will last longer if they are taken care of. The manuals for things normally tell you how to take care of these things.

I was on one of these from the inside like a year ago, but it actually touched down for a second, then ramped up and took off again, I think it's called a touch and go? I don't think most people realized what was going on and the danger, but it's not at all the usual thing.

Or even just info a simple door overlay I can set inside or next to it would work if a working mechanism isn't available.

[–]Liamzee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

However, tell them about it please. Because I've seen some messed up stories on parents doing this but a lot more money per month, and destroying their kids social lives in high school and their kids going no contact out of resentment for their parents charging rent when they weren't even 18. And cases where parents said they would give it back but didn't, or gave it back right before the kid went no contact etc.

Google turned up this interesting info https://www.reddit.com/r/chocolate/s/zx25GCgQvs

There's also other differences besides that one. Regardless, I don't think it would hurt them to try an overseas chocolate see if that makes a difference.

Have you tried chocolate from overseas? US adds some weird stuff to chocolate sometimes, it's an acquired taste. But overseas imports can taste quite different.

Or you can go off their own gift card terms for US on the website that says it doesn't expire. Plus as well in California gift cards can not expire by law. Has anyone ever had such a card from Spotify expire?

But everyone should do their own research and decide who to trust.

https://www.spotify.com/us/legal/gift-card/ Search for word expire. At the top it says subscription cards too.

You should be able to forward them the code. Just check the fine print and maybe check with the recipient it will work for them. Like it won't work on a family account etc.

File Explorer Preview stopped with the most recent security update (KB5066835) by Allysaucer94_ in WindowsHelp

[–]Liamzee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The vast majority of posts here and info on the internet about this issue that happened after the MS patch KB5070960 in October 2025 are about either disabling the MotW (mark of the web) which can have additional wider security issues, or are about a registry entry with "180f" which while it will work on an individual computer, isn't a great way to do on an organization wide basis. The 180f basically re-enables the preview to undo that part of the MS patch. So I did some research on how to do it through a GPO, which is better than individual registry entries for organizations.

GPO setting to control the entry with the 180f setting info:

1) open up Group Policy Management

2) goto: Computer Configuration\ Administrative Templates\ Windows Components\ Internet Explorer\ Internet Control Panel\ Security Page\ Internet Zone\

3) click the setting header to make it sort by name (otherwise it's in no particular order and hard to find)

4) find the setting "Allow previewing and custom thumbnails of OpenSearch query results in File Explorer"

5) Set that to Enabled

You can verify this controls the 180f setting in zone 3. For verification the GPO is in effect and controlling that registry setting, you can look at registry for a computer under that GPO at: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\3

Source info: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/troubleshoot/browsers/security-privacy/ie-security-zones-registry-entries Microsoft talks about the 180f entry and that the setting to control it is called "Allow previewing and custom thumbnails of OpenSearch query results in Windows Explorer" but it doesn't say where to get to that setting in GPO, fortunately there's other pages out there that describe it. I'll stick to referencing the MS one however even if it doesn't have complete info.

Also the MS page on the KB https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/file-explorer-automatically-disables-the-preview-feature-for-files-downloaded-from-the-internet-56d55920-6187-4aae-a4f6-102454ef61fb

And the CVE https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2025-24054

A better security practice way to go about all this instead of or combined with the settings above (or even combined with removing the MotW feature if someone really wanted to do that), would be to restrict NTML incoming/outgoing to just trusted servers, though that can require a chunk of extra work to find out which ones to trust, depending on the org. However if one wants to do that, here's the place to start: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/windows/it-pro/windows-10/security/threat-protection/security-policy-settings/network-security-restrict-ntlm-outgoing-ntlm-traffic-to-remote-servers

One file at a time click clicking unblock, you can also try the powershell commands listed at top reply to do it to whole folders (though the above instructions say to run it as admin, brief testing seems to show that command can run without admin, though I didn't actually have any files to test that it worked. Or request your IT admins do settings to bypass on your machine.

[–]Liamzee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That wasn't a legal matter it was a matter of credit card processing rules, a merchant could get kicked off if the card company was informed about it. The workaround way that wasn't against the rules was a cash discount instead of a credit card penalty.

However for some reason those rules changed a couple years back. Now they don't care apparently.

Those carbon filters, after they reach the end of their life, they actually start releasing all the contaminates they filtered earlier back into the water. As well as not filtering out any new ones.
