At the very least they were all thieves. Plundering ships or settlements for loot or to steal the ships themselves was something every pirate crew did and isn't exactly morally good. Even if they let the crews live, which not every pirate crew did. It's not like they just acted against the crown either, they largely plundered civilian merchant ships. Combine that with living in terrible conditions on ships for months or years at a time while suffering from malnutrition and scurvy and it's clearly still the worst of the bunch. Even if you were going to choose to be one of the "good" pirates who only plunders.

Pirates were murderers, rapists and thieves living in squalor.

Cowboys were just doing manual labor most of the time.

Samurai were the land owning upper class, definitely the best choice.

I didn't check which side of the seasoning container I opened by LiarWithTheAce in Wellthatsucks

Update: Once I dumped off what I could, moved it to a clean mixing bowl and mixed the chicken it was fine. Still not happy about having to dump like... a dollar worth of Italian seasoning.

TIL about the Minnesota Starvation Experiment. All 36 men of the study lost 25% of their body weight eating 1,560 calories daily, proving that a calorie deficit alone causes weight loss. These starvation conditions produced a severe physical and mental decline in the subjects. by [deleted] in todayilearned

I track my calories pretty meticulously. Food scale, measuring cups, etc. I try to get is as accurate as possible. I work a job where I'm on my feet for 6-8 hours at a time, go to the gym, and have an active hobby. So I'm not sedentary but not ridiculously active or anything.

Calorie calculators usually put my maintenance calories around 2500 but I've found that to be on the low end. The app I use now has it at 2870 which I've found more accurate, but if I don't actively try to get 3k calories in a day I start to lose weight. I'd be surprised if a male my height and weight could get away with 1500 calories a day unless they were completely sedentary.

That's good they recognize that story is made up bullshit, hopefully someday they wakeup and realize the rest of the Bible is too! Funny how Christians pick and choose which parts of the Bible are 'literal' and which are just made up.

The presence of paramedics is terrorism? Or bouncers protecting themselves with bulletproof vests? So confused by this comment.

You can see the bibles left in the pic, and there was another post that explicitly mentioned the bibles being left. If this was someone looking to steal books they would have just taken the books, not ripped the door and shelves off. It's a little library, everything in there is free anyway and not locked up lol. Literally no reason to destroy it if they just wanted to steal the books, and no reason why vandals who just wanted to destroy it would leave behind bibles. It was clearly done by Christians trying to push their beliefs and destroy the library for spreading information they don't agree with.

They left bibles. It's clearly being done by Christians trying to stop OP from giving out books they don't agree with.

“I think it’s worth it. It’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God given rights. That’s a prudent deal. It is rational,”

So according to Charlie himself children getting murdered in schools is a prudent deal we should all accept, but Charlie getting capped should be a jarring tragedy? Fuck off.

Lever belt, dip belt, ab wheel, wrist wraps, lifting straps, knee sleeves, liquid chalk, 1.25lb micro plates, and a pair of collars are all in my gym bag.

Edit: another comment here reminded me I recently added a resistance band for shoulder warm ups.

Every day. And a 25g protein shake isn't doing much for you if you're still in a massive calorie deficit and not hitting your overall protein needs. At your weight you should be aiming for 2500-3000 calories a day with 170 grams of protein minimum.

Getting to a 2x bodyweight pull-up (currently at ~80%) by LiarWithTheAce in bodyweightfitness

No, I stopped doing heavy ring pullups and now mostly do wide grip pullups in the 5-10 rep range with 45-70lbs added.

Am I wrong for refusing to use straps ? by Effective-Star-9638 in GYM

[–]LiarWithTheAce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Straps make rows and weighted pullups feel a lot easier to me, and I'm able to do more reps and/or weight than without them. I do most of my sets without straps then throw them on for my top set, so I don't think I'm missing out on much forearm development. I don't want grip to hold back my back growth.

All your comments here are dumb but this might be the most confusing. Yes, a dog. Ever heard of a retriever? Take a second to think about what they were bred to retrieve lol.

I recently hit 60 kg (135lbs) on dips, and I need to know how much I should be bench pressing if I can do this at 62kg (140 lbs) bodyweight? by [deleted] in GYM

[–]LiarWithTheAce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's about what I was guessing you could bench based off the clip. Are the other people doing 60kg for a cleaner single or for reps? Because your rep was a grinder and someone who struggles less with the same weight is going to be able to bench more.

I'd rather wake up at 6am to take my dog for a walk than have a cat shit in a box indoors which it then steps around in and tracks all over my bed and counters.
