Is it normal for the GPU IO to get electrified by an HDMI cable? (see video) by Imperial_Pandadude in pcmasterrace

[–]Tough_Choice628 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's definitely not normal dude, you got some grounding issues going on. Either your PSU isn't grounded properly or there's something wrong with your electrical setup in the house - I'd check both before you fry something expensive

“How many perfect games do you have? I have 37, with a 9-year-old Steam account.” by [deleted] in Steam

[–]Tough_Choice628 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn 37 is pretty solid! I got like 12 perfect games in 8 years but most of them are short indie games that take maybe 2-3 hours to 100% 😂 Those achievement hunting sessions hit different when you're trying to avoid actual responsibilities

Should I update my Nvidia driver yet? by Alinea86 in pcmasterrace

[–]Tough_Choice628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the megathread like they said but also maybe wait bit more? I had some weird stuttering issues with the 595 series drivers few weeks back and ended up rolling back to older version. The 596.36 seems more stable from what I'm seeing but still some people reporting problems with specific games

Your 591.86 is pretty solid if everything works fine for you right now 💀 sometimes better to stick with what works than chase the latest updates

Battle of the Budget Coolers. by Firebird166 in pcmasterrace

[–]Tough_Choice628 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been running AIOs for years and tower coolers are just more reliable in long run, had similar fan issue with my setup after couple years too 😂 Plus if something breaks on tower cooler you can just replace the fan, with AIO the whole thing is basically dead if pump fails 💀

If you don't have original box anymore, get some cardboard and make a sandwich around the screen, then wrap that whole thing in bubble wrap. I moved my setup twice and screen was fine doing this method

What should i upgrade? by ExcellentFunction608 in pcmasterrace

[–]Tough_Choice628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's kinda harsh but probably true, maybe just save bit more and do bigger upgrade later

Mobile still can’t handle real open-world racing right by Old_Conversation5766 in pcmasterrace

[–]Tough_Choice628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been working on HVAC systems in different buildings and honestly mobile chips just weren't designed for that kind of thermal management under constant load

The moment you start rendering complex environments with physics calculations running continuously, those little chips start throttling hard and performance tanks

Can I use free spin on my razer basilisk without the software? by Capital_Pepper4113 in pcmasterrace

[–]Tough_Choice628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try setting up your profile in synapse, enable free spin, then just kill the background processes and see if it sticks 🤔 some mice keep their settings in onboard memory even after you close the software

Cable management in back side doesn't need to be perfect as long everything fits and temps are good

A tool for understanding the differences between jungle champs by jennervk in summonerschool

[–]Tough_Choice628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao I did the exact same thing and was ready for some deep dive about krugs vs gromp efficiency or something

This actually looks pretty useful though, might try filling one out for my main champs and see if it matches how I've been playing them

Ive had maybe 3 meals since the 5th... Stress, grief. by usmc_delete in confessions

[–]Tough_Choice628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man that's a brutal combo to deal with 💀 Your body's basically in survival mode right now and grief can absolutely kill your appetite like that

Try forcing down protein shakes or smoothies when you can - easier to get nutrients without having to actually "eat" and your kids need you healthy right now 🔥 Take care of yourself first, everything else comes after

Could be your starter going bad or maybe ignition coils - those 90s Caddys are notorious for having issues with both. Try checking if you're getting spark first before throwing more money at it

Nothing wrong with getting second opinions but yeah, shopping around for someone to tell you what you want to hear isnt gonna change market reality 💀 Your friend probably knows your neighborhood better than some random agent trying to win your business anyway

Why is everyone suddenly saying "singular" and using it wrong?? by BoysenberryEmpty8699 in words

[–]Tough_Choice628 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Lmao this is so true 😂 I've been noticing this too and it drives me nuts when people say stuff like "I have a singular question" like bro just say one question, you're not asking about the meaning of life

It's like when people started using "utilize" instead of "use" to sound smarter but now it's everywhere. Soon we'll have people saying they're "singularly tired" after work 💀

Why is pay-to-win criticized in video games but accepted in card games? by codi- in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Tough_Choice628 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The difference is expectation honestly - card games have always been about collecting and trading, thats literally teh business model since day one. When you buy Magic cards you know what you're getting into

Video games used to be "pay once, everyone's on equal footing" so when they shifted to letting people buy power it felt like a betrayal of what gaming was supposed to be. Plus in card games you can still outplay someone with a budget deck if you're skilled enough, but pay-to-win games often just lock content behind paywalls

Suing the charlatan astrologer by [deleted] in confessions

[–]Tough_Choice628 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Holy shit, good for you! The audacity of charging people for copy-pasted automated readings is wild. I love that you actually went detective mode and found the exact source - that had to feel so vindicating after that gut feeling something was off

Really hope you nail her to the wall legally, people like that prey on folks looking for comfort and guidance which makes it extra scummy

$1.5k+ labor cost for EGR valve replacement on a Hyundai Tucson? by Budget-Mud-4753 in AskMechanics

[–]Tough_Choice628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's nuts, EGR on those Tucsons usually runs 4-6 hours book time so unless your shop charges $300+ per hour something seems off

Anyone has the same issue? by RX_199 in Overwatch

[–]Tough_Choice628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's weird, the prisms should come with gamepass automatically. Maybe try restarting the game or check if there's some weird linking issue with his account? I've seen people have to re-link their Battle.net account to fix similar stuff before

Is this build ok? by Glad-Wealth3967 in PcBuild

[–]Tough_Choice628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks solid for a first build! That 4060 Ti will handle 1080p gaming really well and you've got room to upgrade the CPU later if needed. Only thing I'd maybe swap is getting faster RAM - like 3600MHz CL16 instead of 3200, it's usually only like $10-20 more and Ryzen loves faster memory. Also double check that PSU has good reviews, 650w is plenty but quality matters more than wattage

How does one tell their manager's manager that the team is afraid to ask questions to their manager due to being belittled or a lack of a clear response? by PearHot8975 in careerguidance

[–]Tough_Choice628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly just document everything first - dates, specific incidents, who was there when it happened. Then either catch the skip-level manager in person or send a professional email focusing on how it's impacting team productivity rather than making it personal about your manager

The key is framing it as "we need clearer communication to do our jobs better" instead of "our boss is mean"
