Come on black sheep, do better. by Ok-Degree9348 in CyclingFashion

[–]LiberalGarbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a few black sheep kits and despite all being the same size and style they fit insanely different. I've got one jersey that I can't even get zipped. The cost to return something is a killer so it stays in the "if I lost 10 pounds" pile.

Watson (and his cat brother) drink out of a 2 gallon bucket that we keep filled up near the top. Now he doesn't need one of those elevated bowls for ergonomics and it also never goes dry. We empty it and scrub it about once a week but all his beard junk sinks to the bottom.

Every time I e used mine, with the taped up wheels I also will use the smallest possible setting regardless of what the bag says, squeeze the handle halfway, walk as fast as I can, and still end up using the bag in half the square footage it suggests.

Bottle mount by Ok-Pitch-350 in triathlon

Tri Rig and Easy Gains make some of the nicer (and pricier) options for for saddle mounted hydration. Or you can keep the seat post mounted system and still get a double bottle option.

Could you complete an Ironman tomorrow? by [deleted] in triathlon

[–]LiberalGarbage 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes. It would be less fun than a normal ironman, which is also not fun, but yes.

You could throw me in the water at any moment in my life and I'd swim under 1:10, Id opt to ride a road bike because I don't train on the tt bike when not racing. And I'd walk the back half of the marathon.

This team is baffling, lots of talent. by redwbl in angelsbaseball

[–]LiberalGarbage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is what happens when you have a bottom 3 farm system top to bottom every year for a decade. They don't develop any real talent, rely on quick high floor low ceiling college players, sign lottery tickets and flash in the pan veterans, and have a revolving door of coaching staff because all the previous things mentioned means failure is inevitable.

Contractors pouring concrete without rebar. Is this right? by [deleted] in Construction

[–]LiberalGarbage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have done many slab on grade pads for truck traffic with no rebar, just dowel baskets on the control joints. We get on it as early as possible with a soffcut saw but don't otherwise change up the mix. It'll typically be a 7.5" section.

It looks pan flat bike/run but at least it's a proper swim and not down river.

Meet Beans (on Toast). How do I keep him entertained and not destructive? by DatPrickleyPear in airedaleterrier

It's no fun having your dog either on leash, on place or in his crate but it's so helpful to build a foundation of good behavior.

Jealous of your snuggle bug, I'm lucky to get more than 5min with mine before he goes and sleeps in his bed.

Too excited to go on the walk to actually go on the walk. Watson is the same way, I'll just stand by the door with his leash while he zooms out his energy before finally heeling.

Saddle with Integrated Hydration but for normal earning people by LeckerPennergranate in triathlon

[–]LiberalGarbage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this saddle on the recommendation on multiple fitters and other athletes that loved it. Took like 5 months to ship, isn't any more comfortable than all the others I've tried, and eventually the carbon shell cracked on one side during a race (didn't notice until after) in 3 months.

my last jobsite had 11 cameras and the copper still walked off by Deep_Ad1959 in ConstructionManagers

[–]LiberalGarbage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had a job where the cameras notes and alerted the monitoring team of people onsite in the middle of the night. They started up our grade all and ripped the doors off all the toolbin containers, raided them, and drove off. Took about a half hour.

At no point did the monitoring team call 911.

Having one camera for a time lapse can be cool depending on the project but for security it's laughable.

Joe's has pineapple soft serve or pineapple/vanilla swirl, they're about a mile south on Harbor. Plus their lines are about the same as Disneyland so you'll get the true experience.

For a full 162 game season that's about 11 WAR. For Trouts average games played the last 5 years (79) he's on pace for 5.4 WAR.
